Valerie Bertinelli recently celebrated her 65th birthday. Just days after her birthday, the Hallmark alum showed off her fit physique and loads of confidence in a red bikini as she prepared for a cold swim.
The “Finding John Christmas” Hallmark alum received a flood of positive comments after posting the photos.
Valerie Bertinelli Is Finding Ways to Improve Her Wellbeing
Bertinelli took to her Instagram page on April 30 to tout the benefits she has experienced by doing cold swims. The first photo in her post was a selfie that showed her wearing a bright red bikini. She also included a video showing her swimming across the length of her outdoor pool.
The audio of the video made it clear that the cold water took a moment for Bertinelli to adjust to. Luckily, she was all smiles as she reached the end of the pool. Another photo showed Bertinelli drying off her bikini-clad figure after the chilly dip in the pool.
In the caption of the post, Bertinelli provided some context for the cold endeavor. She noted that her pool was just 66 degrees, and she was ready to take a “cold plunge that’s relatively warm.”
Bertinelli shared that she has been experimenting with a lot of different things lately. The cold swim in her pool, she has found, “has helped improve my mood, has reduced inflammation and it’s easier than filling my bath up with ice cubes,” she explained.

The caption on Bertinelli’s birthday post continued, “The light at the end of the tunnel is finally here. I can see it. I feel it.” She continued, “I love my family. I love my friends. I love all of you out there supporting me and being a part of our community here.”
