Hallmark star Tyler Hynes shared a heartfelt message of thanks and apology to his fans on Sunday, June 1. The hilarious post was made after the popular Hallmark lead joined Hunter King and other cast members of “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” for Hallmark’s Emmys FYChristmas event on May 29.
The get-together was a “For Your Consideration” event for Hallmark cast to interact with Television Academy members about potentially nominating “Holiday Touchdown” and “Mr. Christmas” for Emmys.
A similar event was held in April for “The Way Home,” where Hallmark Media hosted screenings of the show for Emmy voters.
Hynes jokingly referenced his “nipple shirt” throughout his post, referencing a “barely there” shirt that he wore to the event. He later said he didn’t realize would be so see-through when the camera flashed.
Tyler Hynes Wrote, ‘I Now Understand How Flash Photography Works’
On June 1, Hynes shared a lighthearted thank you and apology note on Instagram, addressed to his fans, colleagues, and Emmy voters.
“Consider this my public apology 🖤🖤” he wrote at the end of his note.
He started out by writing, “The fact that this film is being considered for an #Emmy is a privilege. To be doing this with my friends and this audience is an honour. ✨ …nipple shirt or not. :)”
Hynes continued, “Thank you to the 1000 Emmy voters who wished to join us and the 300+ folks we had the space for, who shared your kind words about how ‘Holiday Touchdown’ & @findingmrchristmas touched you. You are who I do this for. 🤍”
He listed out notes of thanks to the Hallmark Channel, the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, and others involved in creating and producing the film.
Then Hynes added a few more comedic touches to his note, writing, “Thanks to our lovely red carpet photographers who heckled and coaxed the jacket off. Thanks @iambjbritt for bringing us matching polos but running out of fabric on mine. Thanks @jaymesv for lying to me about my exposed grown man nipples. And of course thanks to all of you posting who shared in this moment. You make a man feel comfortable, even when he’s half naked on a carpet. 🙂 I now understand how flash photography works. 📸”
Hallmark Stars Joined in on the Joke in the Replies
Of course, Hynes’ colleagues at Hallmark couldn’t help but join in on the joke when they replied to his post.
BJ Britt replied, “Lol! So love everything about this!!😂💚✨”
Jonathan Bennett wrote, “Your nipple shirt deserves an Emmy for best costume design on a red carpet. Your fans and I thank you brother.”
Cameron Mathison simply replied with four fire emojis.
And Hallmark fan HallmarkiesCaroline3 may have stolen the show when she jokingly replied, “Lord forgive me for my thoughts before I head to church this morning.”
