But in this scene, she finally came clean to him and shared exactly how she felt, explaining her past actions so he could feel secure with her. And Kevin McGarry’s reactions as Nathan, with his eyes watering and then kissing her while holding her close, were so authentic.
Jack’s Marriage Proposal to Elizabeth
Jack’s marriage proposal was an amazing culmination of years of falling in love. The field full of lit candles set a perfect scene, as Jack began by saying he wasn’t sure if he had the right to ask her to wait on him. But of course, Elizabeth told him that he did. For Elizabeth and Jack fans, this is a favorite.
Elizabeth Running After Jack
Another highly voted moment between Elizabeth and Jack was Jack leaving and Elizabeth running after him, calling out to him in heartbreak at the thought of saying goodbye. Anyone whose significant other has left for war or deployment can relate to this moment.

Lee Proposes to Rosemary
Elizabeth isn’t the only character with romantic stories on “When Calls the Heart.” Lee and Rosemary’s relationship has been the foundation of the series for quite some time. And Lee’s proposal to Rosemary definitely ranks among one of the most romantic on the show.
Lucas and Elizabeth on the Bridge
For some Hearties, Lucabeth will always be their favorite relationship. And even though Elizabeth ultimately chose to break up with Lucas and spend her life with Nathan, they still maintain that Lucas and Elizabeth had the most romantic moments.
The scene on the bridge is often pointed to as a prime example. Elizabeth realized that Lucas was the one for her, and they reunited there, declaring their love. The scene wasn’t just great for the acting, but also the beautiful cinematography that showcased stunning autumn leaves and a beautiful bridge we didn’t see often in Hope Valley.
Mike Proposes to Mei
Mike and Mei’s romance was an unexpected highlight of season 11. And the scene where he proposes is just so sweet. Mike is palpably nervous about putting himself out there, and Mei cries with joy when he asks her. I love this couple and hope we see more of them in the seasons to come.
