Schuyler Fisk Says Her Oscar-Winning Mom is the ‘Number 1 Fan’ of ‘The Chicken Sisters’ (EXCLUSIVE)

As new episodes of “The Chicken Sisters” premiere on Hallmark Channel each Sunday night, one fan sure to be tuning in is Oscar-winning actress Sissy Spacek. And it’s not just because her daughter, Schuyler Fisk, is one of the stars.

“She’s like the number one fan,” Fisk told EntertainmentNow before the show’s second season premiered on August 10, 2025. “She’s like, ‘I don’t like that we have to wait every week for another one!'”

Spacek, who’s received five Academy Award nominations and won the 1981 Best Actress Oscar for her starring role in “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” is still a busy actress, appearing in Hulu’s hit 2025 miniseries “Dying For Sex” and the upcoming thriller “Die My Love,” hitting theaters in November.

But Fisk, who plays Amanda Moore-Hillier on “The Chicken Sisters,” told EntertainmentNow her mom’s busy schedule hasn’t kept her from visiting her on-set in Vancouver.

“She’s a Chicken Sister,” Fisk smiled, noting that Spacek has “bonded immensely with the ladies” on the show, including Lea Thompson (who directed the first two episodes of season two), Wendie Malick, and Genevieve Angelson.

With multiple surprise guest stars appearing on season two of “The Chicken Sisters,” could Spacek make an appearance on the show?

“It’s been discussed,” Fisk coyly told EntertainmentNow, adding, “We have so much respect for each other. I love her advice. We ask each other for acting advice, we work on projects together, work on scenes together. I’m not trying to emulate her (career). You know, I’m just grateful that I get to do this at all.”

Sissy Spacek Had a Serious Sweet Tooth on ‘The Chicken Sisters’ Set

On August 11, the day after season two of “The Chicken Sisters” premiered, Fisk interviewed her mom during a sweet Instagram Live session.

While chatting about her visits to the set, Spacek laughingly admitted she ate so many gummy bears from craft services while watching the cast film their scenes that Malick warned her that her teeth would rot.

Proving what a fan of the show she is, Spacek said she’d already watched the first episode of the second season twice, teasing Fisk that she couldn’t focus the first time “because your children were running in and out of the room and I was really distracted.”

“You know, at this point in my life, I can’t really see very well and I can’t really hear very well,” Spacek quipped. “So I was able to get up really close (to watch it the second time).”

“Yeah, you need it, like, on an iPad with your new headphones you got,” Fisk laughed.

“The Chicken Sisters” airs Sunday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern time, with each new episode available to stream the next day on Hallmark+.
