Kelley Wolf, the estranged wife of “Doc” star and Hallmark fan favorite Scott Wolf, wants her Instagram followers to know she’s “safe” and “feeling free.”
Days after posting that Utah police had placed her under an involuntary hold for the second time in less than a month, Kelley shared on July 15, 2025, that she had moved from a hotel to a “cute” cabin amid her divorce from Scott, which they announced separately in June.
Kelley, 48, has since posted several videos from the space, sharing views from a serene deck overlooking trees. In one video on July 16, she had her feet up on a chair as the sun set and wrote, “We ALL deserve PEACE.” In another video, as she burned sage outside, she wrote, “love is so simple.”
While Scott, 57, has not commented on Kelley’s posts or the current circumstances surrounding their divorce, the “A Merry Scottish Christmas” star did allude to the challenges his family has been facing in a resurfaced interview.
Kelley Wolf Acknowledges ‘It’s Been a Hard Year’
In one of several videos taken in the cabin where she’s now staying, Kelley gave a visual tour of the “cute” space on July 15, set to the Luke Bryan song “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” and wrote, “I’m safe! Just missing one thing… ❤️🇺🇸🦅🙏🏻🏇🏇🏇🏇👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼”
Kelley has limited comments on her posts, but hundreds of people have “liked” her latest videos, likely aware that it’s been a rocky few weeks since she and Scott announced they were divorcing, on June 10.
Kelley was first detained by police on June 13 and taken to a mental health facility where, she later confirmed, she was placed under a five-day involuntary hold. After she was released, Today.com reported on June 26 that a Utah judge granted Scott temporary custody of the couple’s kids — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11.
The judge also issued a temporary restraining order, requiring that Kelley have no contact with Scott, their kids, or his brother Michael, who had previously stayed with the kids at the family’s house while Scott was filming in Los Angeles. The orders were set to expire on July 9 unless a judge determined an extension was needed.
In multiple Instagram Stories Kelley posted on July 12, she said she was placed under a second involuntary hold on July 6, sharing images of bruises on her arm, which Us Weekly republished. Alleging “police brutality, she wrote over one photo, “Summit County Police took me from Sundance on July 6. I was in a hot tub. Placed me on an involuntary hold at Summit County Behavioral Health. The truth must be told.”
A rep for Summit County Sheriff’s Office told Us Weekly that the department was aware of the social media posts “circulating that inaccurately claim ‘Summit County Police’ responded to an incident.”
“Sundance Resort is not located within Summit County, and therefore, no law enforcement agency from Summit County, including the Summit County Sheriff’s Office, would be involved in incidents occurring there,” the rep explained to Us Weekly, also noting, “I can confirm that the Summit County Sheriff’s Office was not involved in any response to Sundance on July 6.”
There’s been no evidence that Kelley has reunited with her kids since the initial custody and restraining orders were granted.
On July 16, she posted a photo in her Instagram Stories of a counter with a tumbler holding greenery, a pair of scissors, and three empty Modelo bottles. In addition to writing about wanting to make plans to go to a favorite Park City bar, Kelley wrote, “I’m so proud of my roots and grateful my momma taught me how to be a lady … look how cute this place is?! I love it! Feeling FREE!! It’s been a hard year…”
Scott Wolf Alluded to Family Challenges in January 2025 Interview
Scott has not commented on the circumstances surrounding his divorce or Kelley’s posts, but on January 7, he alluded to going through difficult times with his family, much like his “Doc” character, Dr. Richard Miller, during an interview that Us Weekly posted on Instagram.
“There’s nothing more important to me, Scott … than the health and well-being of my family,” he said. “So these were not complicated sort of emotions to (act out), you know, I didn’t have to sort of reach far. If my kid stubs his toe, you know, I’m on high alert.”
Searching for the right words, Scott said, “I’ll say this. My family’s been through some stuff over the past few years. This period of time has been weird for a lot of people, and we sort of got blown in the wind a little bit, moved around a bunch, and you know, watched my children deal with all of that.”
“And so, in a beautiful way, I have had the experience of creative opportunities arriving that allow for me to use what’s happening to my human experience,” he said. “And that’s never been more true than with this character.”
