Kelley Wolf Calls Husband Scott Wolf the ‘Love of My Life’ Amid Divorce, Returning Home After Involuntary Hold

While “Doc” star and Hallmark actor Scott Wolf quietly vacations with his three children, his wife of 21 years, Kelley Wolf, has posted a slew of updates on Instagram after confirming that she’d been placed under an “involuntary 5150,” spending five days in a Utah mental facility, per People.

On June 25, 2025, Kelley confirmed in her Instagram Stories that she was finally home after staying at a local resort since her release. Showing a video of multiple open suitcases in their family’s garage, she said that before the ordeal, she’d lived out of her car and stayed at a neighbor’s house, but insisted she’s now “feeling great.” However, late in the day, Us Weekly reported that Scott filed a restraining order against Kelley.

On June 13, three days after the couple announced their impending divorce, Kelley, 48, was detained and handcuffed by Utah police at the Sundance Resort, according to People. Audio and a brief moment of video footage with authorities was posted on her Instagram Live, including a shocking moment in which Kelly accused Scott, 57, of “abusing” her.

EntertainmentNow has reviewed dozens of updates that Kelley — who appeared on MTV’s “The Real World” in 2000 and “The Challenge” in 2002 — has posted on Instagram since her release. Among her posts, she has shared in her feed and in her Stories that she feels “happy” and excited for her future, is very frustrated with a group of friends she holds responsible for placing her in a “mental facility,” and is eager to see her family again.

Kelley Wolf Says Neither Scott Wolf Nor Her Parents Were Involved in Her Detainment

Among the updates EntertainmentNow has reviewed since the Wolfs announced their divorce and Kelley was detained was a photo she posted in her Stories on June 21, taken in her Utah hotel room following her release.

The picture showed a hospital gown and socks, as well as travel toiletries on the bed, over which she wrote, “After I was taken against my will to a mental facility in the state of Utah. They didn’t find any drugs in my blood and basically I’m healthy as a 21-year-old but I have heart disease in my family so I’m making sure that my heart is healthy and I went and bought myself this blood pressure monitor, but they were kind enough to let me go home with some toothpaste and this robe.”

Two days later, according to People, she posted another since-deleted update that assured her followers, “I’m fine, y’all. I’m happy. No mental illness. No addictions. Just a woman who SURVIVED an involuntary 5150 and went on a 1st DATE 2-night. So nervous! OMG!”

Kelley, who now works as a life coach and is the author of a book called “FLOW: Finding Love Over Worry,” has repeatedly said in her updates that she sought a separation from Scott for many months. However, on June 21, she posted a photo of African lions in her Stories and wrote that it was “where I went on my honeymoon with the love of my life,” noting that they collected money for an orphanage there instead of wedding gifts and added, “I always keep my promises and so does the love of my life.”

Kelley has also clarified in her posts that neither her husband nor her parents placed her in the mental facility. Rather, she blames a group of friends for the situation escalating. In a post on June 19, she wrote, “A few months ago, a small but very vocal group of PC lex-friends, I call the Army of Eight) 🤔had me held against my will. Their reason? ‘I’m worried about you.’ Wow. [Expletive] them.”

After her release, Kelley posted on June 20 that she was with her kids at the Utah Rodeo, filming a video with horses and people in the background. But there was no evidence in the video of the kids she shares with Scott — Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11. Hours later, the “A Merry Scottish Christmas” star posted a photo in his Instagram Stories of their three kids from behind at an airport terminal and wrote, “With my forever squad.”

Kelley Wolf Was Thrilled to Talk With Her Kids Via Video Call

After her release, Kelley asked in her Instagram Stories for help locating her kids, whom she thought had likely gone to Boston with their dad. She updated her followers in her Instagram Stories on June 23, reviewed by EntertainmentNow.

“It turns out my ex in-laws took everybody to Cape Cod,” she wrote. “Wasn’t that generous of them? I asked them to send me a little money for gas, but at least they’re spoiling my kids. They’ve always been like that they spoil all the grandkids. It’s so sweet.”

Later that day, she posted that she was ecstatic to have the chance to connect with her kids via a video call. Sharing a since-deleted screenshot of them chatting with her, Us Weekly reported that she wrote, “JUST CALLED ALL THREE KIDS to let them know that I pitched a show I’ve been dreaming about for OVER A DECADE.”

After describing the show idea at length, she wrote, “Telling my kids we’re going to Spain in a few weeks, and that when we come back, Mama might finally get to make the show she’s been dreaming of since she was their age? Full. Circle. Moment.”

The Wolfs announced their impending divorce on June 10, with Kelley first announcing via a lengthy statement on Instagram. Hours later, Scott released a statement to People that said, “After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley. Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”
