Rachael Leigh Cook’s Kids Steal the Show in Hilarious Red Carpet Moment: VIDEO

When Hallmark star and cool mom Rachael Leigh Cook brought her adorable kids to the red carpet premiere of “Freakier Friday” on July 22, 2025, they followed their mom’s lead, smiling for photos in their coordinated summer outfits.

All was going swimmingly until the last second, when photographers got a hilarious glimpse of sibling tensions between Charlotte, 11, and Theodore, 10, whom Cook shares with her ex-husband, Daniel Gillies. Amusingly, it wasn’t the first time that Cook’s son has given photographers a chuckle on a red carpet.

Cook and her kids looked darling as they posed on the red carpet (actually purple to fit the “Freakier Friday” motif. She wore peach floral dress by LEO LIN, Charlotte wore a sweet pink sundress with a matching tote, and Theodore rocked a black suit with an untucked white button-down shirt.

As a pack of press photographers called out requests for them to smile or look their way, big sister Charlotte adorably tried to pull her brother closer. When she put her arm around his shoulder, Theodore looked instantly irritated and elbowed his sister in the side.

It’s not clear if Cook saw the slight skirmish between her adorable kids, but she scurried to Theodore’s side and sent them to the side before posing for photos alone.

In an Instagram recap on July 23, Cook wrote, “The kids and I are big fans of the original and naturally had measured expectations, but this iteration delivered and then some, @disney does it again. Go!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

She also noted that she loved seeing buddy Daniel Franzese, whom she and Charlotte snapped a casual picture with.

The adorable moment with Cook’s kids was not the first time her son stole the show on the red carpet.

In April 2023, the trio attended Disney’s premiere of “Rennervations” and as they posed for pictures, Theodore kept giving the photographers serious side-eye and rolling his eyes.
