Hallmarkies, here is some news that will make your day! Nikki DeLoach is “beyond excited” to bring Christmas cheer to Hallmark Channel this year.
“A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” will bring together DeLoach with her longtime friend and “A Biltmore Christmas” actor Kristoffer Polaha. The holiday film will celebrate not only the season but also the 100th anniversary of the iconic Grand Ole Opry, set in and around the famed Nashville venue.
DeLoach & Polaha Celebrate Joining “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” With Brad Paisley
“Our Holiday Story” actor DeLoach spoke to People and said, “I grew up with the Grand Ole Opry. It’s the biggest stage for country music, an American institution that I’ve revered since I was a child,”
“In my wildest and biggest dreams, I never imagined that I would one day be able to be a part of its story. And to do it alongside one of my longest and best friends, Kris Polaha, the legend that is Brad Paisley, and with our Hallmark Channel team, is an unimaginable dream come true.”
Polaha shares her enthusiasm, saying, “I am honored and beyond excited to help celebrate the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th birthday with Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas this year… Brad Paisley is bringing the music to this party — are you kidding?!”
Paisley Writing & Performing Original Music

Grammy winner and Opry member Paisley will write original music for the movie, perform on screen, and create the official anthem for Hallmark’s 2025 “Countdown to Christmas”.
The film will also feature appearances by other Opry performers, adding authentic country flair to the holiday magic.
Hallmark describes the project as “a magical trip across time,” with Polaha drawing comparisons to his time-travel holiday film “A Biltmore Christmas.”
Heartwarming Story With a Time-Travel Twist

In “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas,” DeLoach plays Gentry Woods, daughter of late country music icon Jett Woods, who was one-half of the legendary duo Winter and Woods. Decades after her father’s tragic death, Gentry is invited to represent him at the Opry’s centennial celebration. Reluctant to face the bittersweet memories, she’s encouraged by friends to attend.
While sitting in one of the Opry House’s oak church pews, Gentry is transported back to 1995, where she reunites with her father and gains the creative inspiration to finish a song she began as a teen. Polaha plays Mac, her lifelong friend and country music talent manager, who also finds himself back in the past.
“This is going to be a very special movie for families to enjoy this holiday season,” Polaha says. “I can’t wait to help bring it to life along with our incredible director, Clare Niederpruem, and the rest of the crew.”
Longtime Friends Reunite on Screen
This marks the first holiday movie pairing for DeLoach and Polaha, who previously worked together on the series “North Shore.” “She is a force of nature and one of my dearest friends,” Polaha says.
Hallmark’s chief brand officer Darren Abbott calls the collaboration “the perfect time for us to partner with this beloved, iconic American institution and create Christmas magic together,” adding, “Nikki and Kris are fan favorites and we know they will beautifully bring to life this emotional and heartfelt story that is sure to become an instant classic.”
“A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” will premiere later this year as part of Hallmark Channel’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas lineup.
