Meghan Markle is bringing holiday cheer to Netflix with a new special tied to her lifestyle series, “With Love, Meghan.”
The program, “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration”, will premiere in December and showcase Markle hosting a seasonal gathering, according to a Monday, Aug. 11 press release.
“This December, join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration. Together, friends and family deck the halls, create holiday feasts, craft heartfelt gifts, and share lots of laughs – with simple how-tos to follow at home. It’s a holiday wonder with warmth, tradition, and a generous dose of joy,” the release stated.
Netflix Extends Its Partnership With the Royal Couple
The project is part of a renewed multiyear agreement between Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, and Netflix. The couple’s Archewell Productions will continue to create scripted and unscripted content under a first-look deal.
Markle expressed her joy with continuing to work with the streaming platform.
“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand,” she said. “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.“
In addition to the holiday special, it was announced that there are other fun projects set to be released.
A second season of “With Love, Meghan,” is set to debut in fall 2025.
The first season was centered on food, home design, and personal wellness, often drawing inspiration from Markle’s own life.
A feature adaptation of Carley Fortune’s novel “Meet Me at the Lake” is also in the works, though details are limited.
A short documentary titled “Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within,” is set to highlight an Ugandan orphanage that brings joy to their community. The documentary is said to go “beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging, and the promise of a brighter future.”
Markle’s Hallmark Days
Long before joining the royal family and inking streaming deals, Markle appeared in two Hallmark films.
In 2014’s “When Sparks Fly,” she played a journalist who returns to her hometown to cover a Fourth of July festival, rekindling a romance in the process.
Two years later, she starred in “Dater’s Handbook” as a woman navigating relationships by following advice from a dating manual, only to find that love does not always follow the rules.
