Lacey Chabert & Andrew Walker Surprise Fans With New Christmas Movie: Exclusive Details

When it comes to Hallmark and holidays, the gifts just keep on coming. Fans were treated to another surprise on July 19, 2025, as the network revealed Hallmark Channel superstars Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker will reunite onscreen during the 16th annual Countdown to Christmas programming lineup.

Hallmark Media announced their surprise movie “She’s Making a List,” with a special promo featuring Chabert and Walker, who last co-starred in 2018’s “My Secret Valentine.” Here’s everything you need to know!

Lacey Chabert & Andrew Walker Had Been Hoping to Reunite For a New Hallmark Movie, He Said

The promo for “She’s Making a List,” which aired during Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in July premiere of “Unwrapping Christmas: Lily’s Destiny,” marked the second weekend in a row that Walker took fans by surprise with an unexpected movie reveal.

One week earlier, Hallmark thrilled fans with the news that Walker, Tyler Hynes, and Paul Campbell will return with a third movie in their beloved “Three Wise Men” franchise, also slated to premiere during the 2025 holiday season.

Walker will begin filming that movie in mid-August, but has spent part of July in Vancouver with Chabert filming “She’s Making a List,” her 16th Hallmark Christmas movie and their first holiday title together.

The duo had been hoping to reunite onscreen, even suggesting ideas to executives, Walker told EntertainmentNow, unaware that Hallmark was already working on finding the right script and timing for the two to come back together.

According to the movie’s logline, “When Naughty or Nice inspector Isabel Haynes (Chabert) is assigned to evaluate mischievous 11-year-old Charlie Duncan, she expects a routine case. But things get complicated when Isabel unexpectedly falls for Charlie’s widowed father, Jason Duncan (Walker), and begins to question the rigid rules of her job. As Christmas approaches, Isabel must choose between following the holiday algorithm or following her heart.”

“This movie is really, really great,” Walker told EntertainmentNow. “It’s an amazing concept — like ‘Men in Black’ meets Christmas.”

Jennifer Kramer, Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, said in a statement, “Bringing Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker together for their first-ever Hallmark Christmas movie is a dream come true for our fans. ‘She’s Making a List’ captures the heart, humor, and holiday magic our viewers love, and we can’t wait to share this unforgettable story with them this season.”

Lacey Chabert & Andrew Walker Are Loving Working Together Again

Although Walker and Chabert have remained friends, slipping back into work mode to film together after seven years has been a breeze, Walker told EntertainmentNow.

Walker said that although Chabert is such a huge star and the undisputed “Queen of Christmas” at Hallmark, “She doesn’t get affected by it at all. She’s almost, like, innocent about it. Her whole life is her daughter and her family, and it’s just a beautiful thing to be around.”

In a statement via Hallmark, Chabert said, “Reuniting with Andrew after all these years to do our first Christmas movie together is such a joy. Andrew brings so much heart, humor, and warmth to every role, and working with him again felt like coming home. I am thrilled to do this one together…finally.”

In addition to “She’s Making a List,” Chabert also has several other Hallmark projects in the coming months, including a second season of her unscripted series “Celebrations With Lacey Chabert,” and “Haul Out the Halloween,” the third movie in her popular “Haul Out the Holly” franchise.
