Hallmark star Jonathan Bennett shared a vulnerable post on social media in celebration of a month that holds a special meaning for him. Bennett celebrated the beginning of Pride Month with his post and shared the story behind the sweet photo he posted.
Jonathan Bennett Remembers Feeling ‘Scared’ to Snap Certain Photos
On June 2, Bennett took to his Instagram page to wish his followers a “Happy Pride!” The photo showed him kissing his now-husband, Jaymes Vaughan.
In the caption, Bennett wrote, “This is one of the first pictures I took kissing my husband. I remember being scared to take pictures like this because I wasn’t publicly out yet.”
Bennett continued, “So much has changed in the last 9 years of my life, and I am so grateful to be the person I am today. Living OUT and PROUD and unapologetically myself is the most powerful decision I ever made.”
“All the things I [had] feared about coming out never happened. In fact the exact opposite happened,” Bennett added.
He wrote that since coming out, his life has “flourished and all the doors opened that had been closed for so long.”
The Hallmark Star’s Colleagues Loved His Post
“The Groomsmen” actor also wrote, “So wherever you are on your journey, know that I see you and I support you. My advice, life is short, live your life the way you want, and never apologize for who you are. Because you are never too much, and you’re always enough.”

As People noted, Vaughan and Bennett first met during an interview that took place in October 2016. The couple got engaged in November 2020 and held their wedding in Mexico in March 2022.
