Nearly a year after the fifth movie in Hallmark’s popular “Curious Caterer” mystery franchise premiered, fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Nikki DeLoach and Andrew Walker will return as Goldy Berry and Detective Tom Schultz, Walker told EntertainmentNow on July 15, 2025.
“We will be doing more ‘Curious Caterers,'” Walker confirmed. “I can definitively say we will be doing more. I’ve been told by trusted sources. It’ll be next year, though.”
“But people can continue to go on the chat groups and stuff like that, and ask for more,” Walker smiled, aware that fans have been pushing on social media for the franchise to continue. “I don’t think that does any harm, either.”
Fans Have Eagerly Awaited News of the Next ‘Curious Caterer’ Movies
HallmarkThe “Curious Caterer” franchise debuted in 2022. Since the fifth movie, “Curious Caterer: Forbidden Fruit,” premiered in October 2024, fans have been pining for another — and a continuation of the developing romance between DeLoach and Walker’s characters.
In December, Walker told Soaps.com, “We were supposed to shoot a couple of them in the new year, January and February, but they’ve been pushed back to mid-year.”
A week later, on December 27, DeLoach posted a thank you note to fans who watched the two “Curious Caterer” movies that premiered in 2024, writing, “We were blown away by your love of Curious Caterer and your desire and requests for more and more. It is such a joy to bring these movies to life for you and we hope we can continue to do so.”
Then, in the spring of 2025, DeLoach put a rumor to rest that they’d filmed “Curious Caterer” mysteries.
On April 24, she re-shared a funny meme in her Instagram Stories that showed herself as Goldy, in a scene with actress Jaycie Dotin, with a “censored” banner across her mouth. The creator of the meme wrote, “Looking at the upcoming mystery schedule, and not seeing any Curious Caterers, despite knowing they finished a couple.”
DeLoach wrote over the meme, “Aww thank you for the love! We love you, too. We actually have not filmed any new Curious Caterers, unfortunately. Hoping we can get to do some soon. ❤️”
Nikki DeLoach & Andrew Walker Have Been Busy Working on Other Hallmark Projects
EntertainmentNow/Boston Red SoxDeLoach and Walker, who are dear friends in real life, have seen each other many times since the last “Curious Caterer” movie aired in October, keeping very busy with other Hallmark projects.
During the 2024 holiday season, they were both on board the Hallmark cruise featured in “Christmas at Sea,” the unscripted series now airing Monday nights on Hallmark Channel. They also toured the East Coast on the network’s first “Jingle Stop” bus tour to see fans and appeared at the inaugural Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City.
On July 1, they were part of a group of six Hallmark stars who kicked off Christmas in July at Fenway Park, with colleague Wes Brown throwing out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox game and Ginna Claire Mason singing the national anthem.
Walker has been busy filming in Vancouver with Lacey Chabert for their upcoming holiday movie, “She’s Making a List.” In August, he’ll reunite with the “Three Wise Men” cast — including Tyler Hynes and Paul Campbell — to film the third installment of that franchise, to premiere during the 2025 holiday season.
DeLoach, meanwhile, filmed another mystery franchise in early 2025 — two new “True Justice” mysteries that she co-wrote. The premieres of those movies — which also feature Kat McNamara, Markian Tarasiuk, and Benjamin Ayres — have not yet been announced.
In May, DeLoach told Us Weekly that she’ll also star in “Home Turf” this fall, reuniting onscreen with Warren Christie, her co-star in 2024’s “Our Holiday Story.”
