It’s beginning to look A LOT like Christmas! Following several days of Hallmark Channel Christmas in July premieres, including the debut of “Christmas at Sea” on July 7, 2025, the network has showered its fans with even more gifts to tide them over until the main event of the year — Countdown to Christmas.
On July 7, Hallmark unveiled the first three trailers of the season, with sneak peeks of the second seasons for “Finding Mr. Christmas” and “Mistletoe Murders,” as well as for “Holiday Touchdown: A Buffalo Bills Love Story.”
If past years are any indication, Hallmark’s 16th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event will kick off in mid- to late-October. Executives have already promised over 4,000 hours of original holiday movies and shows in 2025, with nonstop festive programming throughout the holiday season. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming — and what we know about each project.
Hallmark Channel Will Air Both Seasons of ‘Mistletoe Murders’ Back-to-Back
Based on a popular Audible podcast that launched in 2022, the “Mistletoe Murders” cast — including leads Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney — filmed season two of the cozy mystery series in Toronto in the spring.
In the second season of “Mistletoe Murders,” Drew will reprise her role as Emily Lane, a “small-town shop owner with a secret past,” per Deadline, and Mooney is back as local detective Sam Wilner. Other returning series regulars include Sierra Marilyn Riley, who plays store clerk and Sam’s teenage daughter Violet, as well as Jean Yoon, Lara Amersey, and “Good Witch” alum Kylee Evans.
Along with sharing the trailer for season two on July 7, Hallmark Channel revealed that it will air the first and second seasons of “Mistletoe Murders” back-to-back during Countdown to Christmas. The first season aired exclusively on Hallmark+ in 2024, so some fans without the streaming service still haven’t seen the series.
‘Finding Mr. Christmas’ Returns With Jonathan Bennett & Melissa Peterman
“Ready, set, sleigh!” Jonathan Bennett is back for season two of Hallmark’s first-ever reality competition, “Finding Mr. Christmas,” complete with delicious puns, over-the-top holiday challenges, and navigating emotional connections among a houseful of handsome contestants, all vying to be the next Hallmark hunk.
Thankfully, Melissa Peterman is back, too, as the show’s empathetic and funny lead judge. In the newest trailer, released on July 7, she’s seen in one scene wearing fuzzy deer antlers and fanning herself while watching the good-looking Hallmark hopefuls, as she quips, “I love my job!”
Filmed in Utah this spring, none of the season two contestants’ faces were shown in the new trailer. But in late May, Bennett told the Laughing Place that the second season will include a “surprise element we didn’t have before” as well as “bigger challenges, bigger personalities,” and a “chaotic scene.” Can’t wait!
‘Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story’
Hallmark also released the trailer for “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story,” the follow-up to 2024’s smash hit starring Tyler Hynes and Hunter King centered around the Kansas City Chiefs.
The new movie wrapped filming in the Buffalo area on June 13 with its star-studded cast, including Hallmark stars Holland Roden and Patti Murin, “Shadowhunters” heartthrob Matthew Daddario, Family Ties” alum (and wife of Michael J. Fox) Tracy Pollan, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” cast member Caroline Aaron, and “The Sopranos” alums Steve Schirripa and Joe Pantoliano. Hallmark star Andrew Walker also filmed a cameo in June.
Bills fans will also be excited to for appearances from head coach Sean McDermott, and players Ray Davis, Damar Hamlin, Dion Dawkins, Dawson Knox, Reid Ferguson, DeWayne Carter and Joshua Palmer, per WIVB.
