Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2025 Preview: Everything We Know

Before you can even say “trick or treat,” Hallmark Channel’s 2025 Countdown to Christmas will be underway, with round-the-clock holiday fare and all-new movies and series to celebrate the season. The programming stunt typically kicks off in October and runs right up until Christmas.

While Hallmark hasn’t announced its full line-up yet, we do know about quite a few projects coming your way. Here’s a preview of everything we know is on the way for the 16th annual Countdown to Christmas…

Countdown to Christmas 2025 Movies in the Works

Hallmark Channel has already begun promoting Countdown to Christmas with a preview that showed glimpses of what’s to come, “with more joy than ever before.” Quick glimpses of upcoming movies show stars like Jonathan Bennett and Janel Parrish are in new movies. But here’s what we know for sure is in the works…

”Three Wisest Men” starring Tyler Hynes, Andrew Walker & Paul Campbell

The Brenner brothers are back for a third movie in the popular franchise, following up 2022’s smash hit “Three Wise Men and a Baby” and 2024’s “Three Wiser Men and a Boy.” Walker told EntertainmentNow the movie starts filming in mid-August with tons of familiar faces, including Kimberley Sustad, Margaret Colin, Matt Hamilton, and Miles Marthaller as his son.

“Christmas Above the Clouds” starring Tyler Hynes and Erin Krakow

Fans have been asking for a reunion of Hynes and Erin Krakow ever since their 2021 hit “It Was Always You.” They’ll finally get it with “Christmas Above the Clouds.” They won’t be playing the same characters though, since it’s a modern version of “A Christmas Carol.” According to the synopsis, Krakow plays a workaholic CEO who tries to skip Christmas by flying to Australia on her own and is visited by “three quirky spirits” and a surprise run-in with her ex, played by Hynes.

“Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story” starring Holland Roden &

This follow-up to 2024’s “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” is set in Buffalo with an all-star cast that includes Holland Roden playing pediatric doctor Morgan Quinn and Matthew Daddario as a longtime friend who’s the Bills’ VP of Stadium Development Gabe DeLuca. The cast also features Tracy Pollan, Steve Schirripa, Patti Murin, Joe Pantoliano, Caroline Aaron, Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott, and numerous players.

“A Newport Christmas” starring Ginna Claire Mason & Wes Brown

Filmed in New England in the spring of 2025, the time-travel movie “A Newport Christmas” stars Ginna Claire Mason as Ella, “a charitable and spirited Newport socialite in 1905 who dreams of using her wealth to start a foundation to help others in town. After learning her father intends for her to become engaged to a man she’s never met at the upcoming Christmas Eve ball, Ella goes for a nighttime sail in her schooner to clear her head. Upon seeing a comet shoot across the sky, she wistfully wishes for a different life. Ella is shocked to suddenly find Nick, played by Wes Brown, a sailor and local Newport historian, aboard her schooner and accuses him of being a stowaway.”

“She’s Making a List” starring Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker

Andrew Walker and Lacey Chabert reunite onscreen for the first time since 2018’s “My Secret Valentine.” According to the movie’s logline, “When Naughty or Nice inspector Isabel Haynes (Chabert) is assigned to evaluate mischievous 11-year-old Charlie Duncan, she expects a routine case. But things get complicated when Isabel unexpectedly falls for Charlie’s widowed father, Jason Duncan (Walker), and begins to question the rigid rules of her job. As Christmas approaches, Isabel must choose between following the holiday algorithm or following her heart.”

Countdown to Christmas Series in the Works for 2025

“Mistletoe Murders” Season 2 Starring Sarah Drew

Based on a popular Audible podcast that launched in 2022, the “Mistletoe Murders” cast — including leads Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney — filmed season two of the cozy mystery series in Toronto in the spring.

“Finding Mr. Christmas” Season 2 Starring Jonathan Bennett & Melissa Peterman

Filmed in Utah this spring, none of the season two contestants’ faces were shown in the new trailer. But in late May, Bennett told the Laughing Place that the second season will include a “surprise element we didn’t have before” as well as “bigger challenges, bigger personalities,” and a “chaotic scene.”

“Baked With Love: Holiday” Unscripted Series Premiere Starring Tamera Mowry-Housley

This new reality competition, “Baked With Love: Holiday,” sees 10 pairs of “home bakers” competing in a bake-off using family recipes, with the winners receiving a $50,000 prize.

“Twelve Dates of Christmas” Starring Mae Whitman & Jane Seymour

“Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas,” first announced in March, is a six-episode, limited series starring “Parenthood” alum Mae Whitman, Emmy winner Jane Seymour, and two-time Oscar nominee Mary McDonnell. Based on the “Twelve Dates of Christmas” novel by Jenny Bayliss, the series was filmed in and around Dublin, Ireland, in the spring of 2025, according to Deadline, even though the storyline takes place near London.
