The past year has been a difficult one for Mathison but he has been determined to keep a positive attitude through it all. During an Instagram post shared on June 16, the actor reflected on one of the brighter days he has had amid all of his heartbreak.

Mathison gushed that he was “Grateful for every minute,” and he added that he hoped “all the dads out there felt the love on Father’s Day too.”
The other photos, and one video, included in Mathison’s post contained highlights of the actor’s Father’s Day spent with his kids.
He has previously shared that both of his kids, whom he has raised with now-estranged wife Vanessa Mathison, are attending college in Europe. It appears they are both Lucas and Leila are back home in California for the summer.
