Former Hallmark star Cameron Mathison is being showered with praise following his announcement about a new family addition. The “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” alum is a foster dad for a sweet dog named Hunter. Fans and celebs alike were won over by Mathison’s adorable new pet.
Cameron Mathison Introduces World to His Foster Dog: Meet Hunter!
On August 9, Mathison took to Instagram to post a cute video introducing his new foster dog to his followers.
“Meet Hunter. Hunter is from West Los Angeles Animal Shelter and is the sweetest guy you’ll ever meet,” the “General Hospital” star shared in the caption. “He’s a 100 pound Doberman and so far has completely wooed me with his gentle nature and beauty.”
Mathison continued, “Some of you may remember my Doberman Red, who passed away about a year and a half ago and I’ve been thinking a lot about adopting or fostering another one for a long time.”
He added, “Thank you to all the amazing volunteers at West Los Angeles Animal Shelter, who could not have been more helpful and more amazing in every way.”
In the video, Mathison revealed his backseat passenger, saying, “Hey guys. So, this happened today. I got a little foster. His name’s Hunter, he’s a 100-pound Doberman. He looks a crazy, crazy amount like Red.”
He added, “I’m thrilled to have him. I’m thrilled to take him out of that shelter, and we’re going to hang out and enjoy each other. Right?”
The actor noted in the comments, “He’s 6, for those asking.”
