Brennan Elliott and Lacey Chabert have become one of Hallmark’s most iconic duos, starring in a whopping 10 movies together over the last decade. On August 7, 2025, Elliott shared a touching tribute to his onscreen partner, letting fans know that their bond continues offscreen and that the longtime Hallmark star has been an incredible friend during the hardest year of his life.
Elliott, who lost his beloved wife Camilla Row to gastric cancer in March, was inspired to pay tribute to Chabert after the It’s a Wonderful Movie blog revealed its top movies of 2024, as voted on by its readers. Elliott and Chabert’s “His & Hers” was named the best movie of last year.
The dad of two — son Liam, 13, and daughter Luna, 10 — thanked fans in his post, noting how “very humbled and grateful” he and Chabert felt hearing their latest movie, “His and Hers,” struck a chord with so many viewers. And then he went on to gush about his co-star, calling Chabert “one of my best friends in the whole world.”
Brennan Elliott Says Lacey Chabert Has Helped Him & His Kids Through His Late Wife’s Cancer Battle & Passing
Posting a photo from one of their movies, Elliott wrote of Chabert, “I have been so blessed to be able to share the screen with her on 10 movies and love her as a scene partner and creative collaborator, but what you all do not see is how she is off screen.”
The “Perfect Pairing” star continued, “@thereallacey is one of my #bestfriends in the whole world and a beautiful human being who has been there for me through thick and thin. Especially the last number of years through this dark time of #cami being sick with cancer and her passing.”
“This last year especially has been the hardest for the kids and I,” Elliott admitted, “and I have a number of friends who have been there for me and help love myself and the kids through grief. But this soul sent from heaven @thereallacey is at the top of the list!”
“I love you my friend, and appreciate our friendship,” Elliott wrote, “and to say I can’t wait to do a hundred more movies with you is the truth! But more important than that is I can’t wait to continue our friendship forever.”
Elliott concluded his touching post by writing, “Thank you @thereallacey for being a true friend and helping the kids and I as well as #cami when she was here on this plane through the struggles our family has gone thru. I am here for you and your family forever u know that! If anyone out there can have just 1 friend like I have in @thereallacey u r blessed! 🙏 ❤️”

Hallmark has not announced any concrete plans to bring Elliott and Chabert back together onscreen. Elliott told fans in mid-July that he was preparing to return to acting for the first time since his wife’s death, but did not specify what he was filming beyond saying it was “not a Hallmark movie.” Chabert, meanwhile, just wrapped the Christmas movie “She’s Making a List” with Andrew Walker.
