‘Believe in Christmas’ Was Filmed in Nova Scotia, Canada

“Believe in the Christmas” was filmed in Canada, including regions in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia. In the movie preview, you can see some shops in the background, including Cosmic Hippie Boutique. This shop is located in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

IMDb also reported that the movie was shot in Halifax.

Writer Anne Marie Meyer took to TikTok to reveal that her book, Christmas Land, had been transformed into this movie and shot in Nova Scotia.

Hallmark’s synopsis reads: “When Beatrice reluctantly joins her best friend on a trip to the enchanting Christmasland, she’s skeptical of the holiday magic surrounding them. But as she experiences festive traditions and meets a charming stranger named Ethan, she begins to question what’s real and what’s part of the experience. In the end, Christmasland helps Beatrice rediscover hope, love, and the magic of new beginnings.”

Meghan Ory is Beatrice. According to her bio, she discovered her love for acting at just five years old. Growing up in Victoria, British Columbia, she honed her skills in dance, singing, and acting before beginning professional auditions at 15. Four months later, she landed her first lead role in the Fox Family movie “The Darklings.” In 2012, her appearance in ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” pilot led to a regular role as Red Riding Hood. Ory went on to star alongside Josh Holloway in CBS’s “Intelligence” and in Hallmark favorites like “The Memory Book” and “Dashing Through the Snow.” She splits her time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.

She and actor John Reardon have been married in real life since 2008, and have two children together.

John Reardon has built an impressive career in film and television, according to his bio. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, he first gained recognition as an all-star football player at Mount Allison University. His acting break came in 2001 on Showtime’s “The Chris Isaak Show,” leading to recurring roles on “Edgemont,” “Tru Calling,” “Eureka,” and starring in miniseries like “Merlin’s Apprentice.”

Classically trained at RADA, Reardon has also performed on prestigious stages.
