Cementing her status as a Hallmark queen, Alison Sweeney just celebrated her 10th anniversary with the network. On August 11, 2025, the former “Days Of Our Lives” star and “Biggest Loser” host marked her decade worth of over 30 Hallmark rom-coms and mysteries by revealing her husband’s favorite one.
Posting throwback photos of her 2015 movie “Love On the Air,” Sweeney wrote, “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I started making movies with @hallmarkchannel ! One of my first (and still my husband’s favorite) is Love On the Air – originally titled Radio Hype. Was happy to dig up some photos from set in 2015 with Jon Scarfe & David Lewis.”
Fans & Co-Stars Celebrate Alison Sweeney’s Long List of Hallmark Movies
Many fans commented on Sweeney’s post about how much they still adore “Love On the Air,” just like her husband, retired California Highway Patrol officer Dave Sanov. One even wrote, “I’ve watched this 20 plus times my all time fave movie”
Sweeney’s co-star David James Lewis, who has since appeared in Hallmark movies including “Crimetime: Freefall” and “Jingle Bell Run,” commented, “How on earth does time move so quickly?? What an absolute pleasure it was to work with you! I loved that we were able to have those rehearsals. An actors dream! Also what most actors say when they work with me!”
In “Love On the Air,” according to Hallmark’s synopsis, Sweeney plays “a radio host who moves to Chicago for her boyfriend and a new hosting gig, which ultimately leads to the quick demise of her picture perfect relationship. Unfortunately, she shares her troubles with a fellow colleague, played by Scarfe, not realizing he is a competing shock jock. But when these rivals are forced to work together, they soon find out they have more in common than their radio personas reveal.”
The throwback movie is available to stream on Hallmark+ and is scheduled to next air on Hallmark Channel on September 19 at 10 a.m. Eastern time.
Alison Sweeney Has Starred in Over 30 Hallmark Movies in the Last Decade, Including ‘Hannah Swensen Mysteries’

Sweeney, who got her start on “Days Of Our Lives” as a teen and recently returned to reprise her role as Sami, has starred in over 30 movies. Although she began making multiple movies per year with the network starting in 2015, her first Hallmark movie was technically “Second Chances” in 2013, co-starring Greg Vaughan.
Sweeney’s popular “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” started in 2015, when Hallmark adapted Joanne Fluke’s book series, beginning with five “Murder, She Baked” movies between 2015 and 2017, with Sweeney starring as Swensen and Mathison appearing as her fiancé, Detective Mike Kingston.
The franchise took a hiatus, during which Sweeney starred in several “Chronicle Mysteries” in a different role. But fans wanted Hannah Swensen to return. Hallmark wound up rebranding the original franchise in 2021 as “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” and released a new movie starring Sweeney and Mathison called “Sweet Revenge.”
“To be honest, there were a lot of behind-the-scenes complications that made it take a long time to bring it all together, and it just was so exciting once we got through all the red tape to be able to make it happen,” she told Cinema Blend at the time.
The cast returned in 2023 for two more mysteries before Mathison moved over to Great American Family and Victor Webster took over as Sweeney’s co-star on the franchise.
Most recently, Sweeney starred in two back-to-back “To Barcelona” movies with fellow Hallmark star Ashley Williams, filmed in Spain in the spring of 2025.
