From the halls of Grey Sloan to the high-stakes oil fields of Texas, “Grey’s Anatomy” star Stefania Spampinato is trading scrubs for suspense.

Spampinato will reportedly portray the wife of crime boss Galino, a character introduced in the Season 1 finale and played by Andy Garcia.

What Is Landman About?

Co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, “Landman” follows Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton), a struggling oil executive in Texas, trying to strike big during an industry boom.

The gritty Paramount+ series explores power, ambition, and corruption in a modern-day gold rush.

Who’s Out at Grey’s Anatomy: Cast Cuts and Fan-Favorites Not Returning

In recent seasons, “Grey’s Anatomy” has seen several high-profile exits as the long-running medical drama reshapes its core cast.

Stefania Spampinato, who played Dr. Carina DeLuca and was also a series regular on the now-canceled Station 19, is one of several stars not returning for future episodes.

Another significant departure includes Kelly McCreary, who portrayed Dr. Maggie Pierce, Meredith Grey’s half-sister. McCreary exited in Season 19, wrapping up her arc with a heartfelt goodbye.

Ellen Pompeo, the show’s iconic lead, also scaled back her role as Meredith Grey in Season 19 and is no longer a series regular, though she continues to narrate episodes and may appear in guest spots.

Fan-favorite Dr. Jackson Avery, played by Jesse Williams, made his exit in Season 17, though he has returned for occasional cameos. Similarly, Sarah Drew, who played Dr. April Kepner, and Greg Germann (Dr. Tom Koracick) have both had brief returns after being written off.

Other notable exits include Giacomo Gianniotti (Dr. Andrew DeLuca), whose emotional on-screen death left fans reeling, and Richard Flood (Dr. Cormac Hayes), who quietly departed in Season 18. As Grey’s Anatomy evolves, new characters continue to join the fold, but for fans, the absence of these beloved doctors is still deeply felt.

Stefania Spampinato’s departure from Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19 may have marked the end of an era for fans, but her leap into Taylor Sheridan’s Landman signals a bold new beginning.
