Jennifer Aniston is ready for a reboot — but don’t expect her to grab a coffee at Central Perk. This time, she’s trading Rachel Green for a raunchy return to one of her funniest film roles.

While fans may have hoped the Friends star would want to return to Central Perk, Aniston surprised many by naming the dark comedy Horrible Bosses as her dream reboot project.
“Oh my God, this literally came up the other day: Horrible Bosses,” Aniston told People in a new interview. “Jason Bateman and I were talking about that, and Charlie Day has been talking about it a lot too.”
Why Jennifer Aniston Wants to Bring the Comedy Back
Aniston, 55, said the idea keeps coming up because the original was a blast to make, and let’s face it, the world could use a good laugh right now.

“The characters are hilarious, and we need comedy. I personally think comedy is a necessity,” she said. “That’s one that we would have a really fun time, I think, going back to — seeing where those crazy cats are today.”
‘Horrible Bosses’ Was a Hit — On and Off Screen
The 2011 hit “Horrible Bosses” saw Aniston take on her first-ever villainous role as a sexually aggressive dentist, Dr. Julia Harris.
The film starred Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, and Jason Sudeikis as three friends plotting to murder their abusive employers.
Seth Gordon directed the film, with a screenplay written by Michael Markowitz, John Francis Daley, and Jonathan Goldstein. It became a box office hit, earning over $212 million on a $35 million budget—a sequel followed in 2014.
The cast also included Kevin Spacey, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, and the late Donald Sutherland.
Good news for fans: “Horrible Bosses” will be streaming on Netflix starting July 1, possibly introducing a new generation to Aniston’s darkly comedic turn.
And maybe, just maybe, the buzz will revive hopes for a third film. As for a Friends reboot? Don’t hold your breath.
From ‘Leprechaun’ to ‘Friends’: How Jennifer Aniston Became a Household Name
Before Jennifer Aniston became a household name, she got her start in the 1993 cult horror flick Leprechaun. Just a year later, everything changed when she landed the role of Rachel Green on Friends—a character that would go on to define an era of television.

Aniston starred alongside Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer, and the late Matthew Perry throughout the show’s 10-season run from 1994 to 2004.
Since then, she’s built a filmography packed with fan-favorite hits, from Office Space and Marley & Me to He’s Just Not That Into You, Just Go With It, We’re the Millers, Cake, and the Murder Mystery franchise.
