Food Vloggers Survive Freak Accident [Video]

When you sit down for a meal, the last thing you expect is a car to literally join you at the table. That’s exactly what happened to food vloggers Nina Santiago and Patrick Blackwood while they were filming at a restaurant in Houston, Texas. Their cozy booth suddenly turned into ground zero when an SUV crashed through the window: right where they were sitting. And honestly? We’ve never seen anything like this.

A Near-Death Experience Over Sliders

The moment was caught on camera, and it’s nothing short of terrifying. In the video (seen above) which was shared on Instagram, you can see glass flying as the SUV barrels into Cuvee’s Culinary Creations, shattering the wall where they were seated. Nina captioned the clip: “Tomorrow Is Not Promised… 🙏🏼 @cuveesculinarycreations Glass Shatters Everywhere! SUV Crashes Through Window While We Eat Near Death Experience.”

Thankfully, both Nina and Patrick walked away without serious injury. Their calmness in the aftermath is just as striking as the crash itself. They were filming an eating show one moment and dodging shards of glass the next… proof that life can flip upside down in an instant.

At the time of this writing, we’re not sure exactly what caused the SUV to crash. But, hopefully, anyone else involved is alright too.

Nina’s Perspective

In her follow-up post, Nina opened up about just how much this experience shook her.

She explained that the SUV hit the booth directly, writing, “I’m beyond grateful to be alive after an SUV crashed through the glass wall at @cuveesculinarycreations in Houston, TX, shattering everything while @iampatrickblackwood and I recorded an eating show.”

But it wasn’t just shock talking; her reflection dug deeper. Nina essentially said the incident reminded her to forgive, to let go of anger, and to focus on the people who truly matter. She called it a wake-up call, noting this could have been their last meal together. She also honored her late dog Loyal, saying she felt their “angel pup” was watching over them. Her hashtags said it best: #Grateful #Survivor #LifeIsPrecious.

Patrick’s Message

Keeping things short but powerful, Patrick also shared photos of his injures. “Grateful to see another day, walking away from the small stuff with a big purpose!” he wrote. His takeaway was all about clarity; why waste time on minor frustrations when you’re lucky just to wake up breathing? His advice to fans was to “live bold, love deep, and make every moment count.”

Together, Nina and Patrick turned what could’ve been a tragedy into a reminder about perspective. Their story isn’t just about surviving a freak accident… it’s about walking away determined to live with gratitude, love, and purpose.
