There’s a new reality TV show coming to the Discovery Channel, and it has the most interesting mix of celebrities at its helm. The series is titled “Truck Dynasty” and will feature celebrity chef Guy Fieri and NBA star Shaquille O’Neal. But what else can fans expect from the show, and what do we know?
Everything To Know About Guy Fieri’s New Show
As the name suggests, “Truck Dynasty” is not about food, but instead focuses on custom trucks created by Joe Ghattas, owner of Apocalypse Manufacturing in Florida. The synopsis reveals the series “follows a larger-than-life family who transform average trucks into the loudest, most coveted, and eye-catching custom creations around,” Warner Bros Discovery reports.
Ghattas is known in the industry for his custom designs, which have been favored among musicians, sports stars, and models. Together with his wife, Ashley, they will create impressive custom trucks, and there is no limit to their creativity. Per the synopsis, “No design is too wild for them to build – ranging from an Apocalypse Hellfire with a pull-out mobile kitchen for legendary chef Guy Fieri or an Apocalypse Super Truck with superhero branding for NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal. With the support of his in-laws, who run sales and marketing for the business, Joe is on the brink of breaking through the fiercely competitive marketplace to establish an American auto brand in a category all its own.“
Sounds interesting, right? But even more fascinating is that “Truck Dynasty” will be produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment. The company belongs to “Property Brothers” stars Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott.
When Does ‘Truck Dynasty’ Start?
“Truck Dynasty” is premiering on Tuesday, August 12 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. A sneak peek of the show has been shared on the Scott Brothers Entertainment Instagram account, which shows a poster for the upcoming series.
In the caption, they shared their excitement, writing, “Buckle up! @Discovery’s new series TRUCK DYNASTY hits the road Tuesday, August 12 at 9PM ET/PT! Follow a larger-than-life family as they turn everyday trucks into jaw-dropping, head-turning custom beasts. #TruckDynasty.”
Fans have reacted to the post with messages of congratulations and fire emojis.
The show will be introducing reality TV fans to new characters, but someone who is no stranger to reality shows is Fieri. He is a Food Network star and has appeared in multiple different shows, including “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” “Guy’s Grocery Games,” “Guy’s Big Bites,” “Guy’s All-American Road Trip,” and “Guy’s Ranch Kitchen.”
