We have back-to-back new episodes of “The Great Food Truck Race” 2025 tonight on Food Network. The six remaining teams on “The Great Food Truck Race” season 18 will be making their way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Then the remaining teams will be making their way to Wilmington, North Carolina, from there. Tyler Florence will be guiding them through another set of challenges for tonight’s episode.
The Road Trip Continues in South Carolina
The teams competed in Charleston, South Carolina, last week on “The Great Food Truck Race” 2025. The six remaining teams will continue their fight for that $50,000 prize in South Carolina tonight. This time, the teams will be making their way to Myrtle Beach for Episode 3. This episode is titled “Son of a Myrtle Beach.”
In the episode synopsis from Food Network, “Host Tyler Florence unleashes the food trucks onto the boardwalk in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where one team blows past the competition and makes an enemy in the process. Teams that previously led the pack plummet in the rankings while one team skyrockets from the bottom to the top. Then, the real shock comes at elimination when a fan favorite gets the worst possible news.”
In the sneak peek shared by Food Network, we see the teams arriving in Myrtle Beach. Some are realizing what they have to improve on for this new week of challenges. Tyler greets the teams, and it’s time to start one of those challenges.
For this challenge, they will need to innovate and elevate a classic Boardwalk dish. The teams pick their dish, as we may see some tension brewing between Nishaan and G’s Cheesesteaks.
The team that makes the most marketable dish, which will be judged by Florence, will get $100 added to their till. Then the team that makes the most innovative dish will get $200 added to their till. The team that makes the most delicious dish will get $300 added to their till, so $600 is on the line for this challenge.
North Carolina Is up Next
After what will probably be a shocking elimination during episode 3, the road trip continues in North Carolina. The remaining teams will pack up and head to Wilmington, North Carolina, for episode 4, which is titled “Wilmington Revenge.”
In this episode synopsis from Food Network, “It’s payback time as host Tyler Florence brings the trucks to Wilmington, N.C., and two teams with a serious beef attempt to settle the score. Meanwhile, another team gets shut down by county officials, jeopardizing their chances of staying in the race. All the trucks fight to win a breakfast challenge worth $15,000 in reward money, and this week’s eliminated team gets served an ice-cold plate of revenge.”
In the sneak peek video above, you can see the teams working on the breakfast challenge. With $15,000 in reward money on the line, the teams are feeling the pressure.
Episodes 3 and 4 of “The Great Food Truck Race” season 18 air tonight, Sunday, August 17, at 9/8c on Food Network, with next-day streaming available on HBO Max.
