Bobby Flay Teases His Girlfriend in Playful Video

Bobby Flay had some lighthearted fun with girlfriend Brooke Williamson in a new promo for the Food Network series “Beat Bobby Flay.”

In the hilarious clip, Williamson was asked what it takes to beat the celebrity chef. “Have the confidence to know that you can beat him,” she said. “Experience means everything. Everyone walking into this kitchen has experience. Know that you can do it, and just do it!”

Unbeknownst to her, Flay was standing behind her, nodding and making playful expressions as she spoke. Williamson later joked on Instagram, “lol… I’m so clueless 🤦🏼‍♀️.”

Joining them in the episode was Laila Ali, who also offered her own strategy for beating Flay. “I think I got the secret sauce,” Ali said. “You definitely have to come in here confident. You have to be calm enough to stay focused, because if you’re here you definitely have the skills, but I think a lot of people just lose it in the commotion of things.”

Flay’s own advice? “Cook within yourself,” he said. “Don’t try to come here and do things you’ve never done before. You make great food — that’s why you’re here. Stay with it.”

Flay Opens Up About Relationship with Williamson

Flay and Williamson, first linked in March, have known each other for years. Speaking with People in June, Flay revealed they were friends long before dating and had filmed together before their relationship began.

“She’s been on the show basically since the inception,” Flay said of “BBQ Brawl,” which premiered in 2019. “So it’s always been fun to kind of have her around because we’ve been friends, but now going forward, it’s a little bit different. So we’ll see what that brings.”

The “Bobby’s Triple Threat” host added that their careers and personal lives align well. “I love working with Brooke. We have a lot in common. We’re very lucky. We’re both chefs. We both have kids. We’re both parents,” he said.

According to Parade, Williamson shares a son, Hudson, with her ex-husband, Nick Roberts. Flay has a daughter, Sophie, from his marriage to Kate Connelly.

“We are both in the restaurant business,” Flay added. “We have tons to talk about in terms of the things that we love to do besides just go and have dinner every once in a while. So it’s been really great. And one of the things I really like about being in a relationship with Brooke is that she’s great to bounce things off of… it’s really nice to have kind of a best friend that you’re dating.”

People confirmed their romance in March, with a source saying: “They have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in. Her divorce last year probably gave them some additional shared experiences and over the last few weeks, love bloomed.”
