‘Raven’s Home’ Co-Stars Are Pregnant with Their First Child Together

“That’s So Raven” star Anneliese van der Pol is officially entering a new chapter — motherhood.

The Disney sitcom alum is expecting her first baby with husband and “Raven’s Home” co-star Johnno Wilson. The couple, both 40, confirmed the news in an exclusive with People, sharing that their daughter is due this October. “We’re having a girl!” van der Pol told the outlet. “I didn’t realize how much I wanted a girl until [Johnno] swung and it went pink.” She added, “She WILL be a feminist.”

Van der Pol announced the news on Instagram with the caption, “WE’RE HAVING A BABY! We’re thrilled!” The post was quickly met with excitement and support from fans and friends, including fellow Disney Channel alum Christy Carlson Romano, who commented, “Baby girl LETS GO!!!! 🎀.”

The pregnancy marks a big moment for the couple, who originally thought they’d never have kids. “We were the couple that said we would never have kids,” van der Pol shared with People. After nearly moving forward with IVF, she realized she was late and took a test. “I put the pregnancy stick on Johnno’s pillow and watched him figure it out when he came in to bring me my morning coffee,” she recalled.

From On-Screen Exes to Real-Life Partners

Van der Pol and Wilson first met on the set of “Raven’s Home” in early 2017, where they played ex-spouses Chelsea and Garrett. Although Wilson wasn’t familiar with “That’s So Raven”, he said he “immediately” connected with van der Pol, reportedly. “About halfway through my first week, I wished I could ask Anneliese out,” he shared during an episode of her “Big Name Btches*” podcast.

At the time, Wilson was in another relationship, but after ending it, he reconnected with van der Pol at the “Raven’s Home” season 1 wrap party. “We got together, and we’ve never looked back,” van der Pol said. “I’m so happy. I love him so much.”

The couple went Instagram official in 2020 and got engaged in December 2023. A year later, they tied the knot in a private courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara. “We’re 40 and in love, so that’s plenty for me,” van der Pol told People.

Preparing for Baby Girl’s Arrival

So far, van der Pol says her pregnancy has been smooth. “Thankfully, I’ve had a really wonderful pregnancy,” she said. “Those cravings are real,” she added, noting how exciting it was to feel the baby’s first movements. “I think we have another dancer on our hands.”

The couple is also getting ready for parenthood with the help of Babylist, calling the platform a “game-changer” for navigating baby gear and advice. “Since then, we’ve been showing our registry to all of our close friends and family to get their thoughts and find out which products and brands they love!” Wilson told People.

With their daughter’s due date just a few months away, van der Pol and Wilson are soaking in the moment. “We’re so excited,” she said.
