Mickey Mouse Posts HGTV-Style House Tour, and Fans Are Losing It

Disney’s most beloved character, Mickey Mouse, just pulled a move straight out of the HGTV playbook. And the internet can’t stop talking about it. In a recent Instagram post captioned, “Come on in, pal! From the living room to the toon-iest corners, take a peek inside Mickey’s home! 🏠❤️,” Disney’s most famous mouse invited fans inside his cartoon-perfect digs. And let’s be real; this was no ordinary house tour.

Mickey as Your Personal HGTV Host

The video (seen below) opens with Mickey welcoming viewers into his cheerful foyer before leading them into a cozy, personality-packed living room. From there, the tour continues through the cheerful kitchen and plenty of corners packed with Easter eggs for eagle-eyed fans. It’s giving big “dream home” energy, if your dream home includes furniture with more personality than most sitcom characters. The tour wraps with a classic Goofy moment. He tries to do the laundry, overdoes the soap, and suddenly the house is flooded with suds. It’s pure slapstick, pure Disney, and the perfect way to end a toon-style house tour.

It’s not just what’s in the house;  it’s how Mickey takes you through it. The whole thing feels like he’s channeling his inner HGTV host, guiding you from room to room with cheerful commentary. Like he’s David Bromstad on “My Lottery Dream Home” (minus the lottery winnings… and with way more animated antics). It’s the kind of warm, guided walkthrough that makes you feel like a guest rather than a viewer.

Fans Are Feeling Nostalgic and Opinionated

Unsurprisingly, Disney fans flooded the post with likes (over 20,000) and comments with everything from giddy nostalgia to deep-cut Disney trivia. One user passionately declared, “HIS FIRST CARTOON WAS PLANE CRAZY! DO NOT GASLIGHT ME LIKE THIS!” a reference to the 1928 silent short “Plane Crazy,” which, according to CNN, was test-screened before Steamboat Willie but never took off until sound was added later.

Another chimed in with a Kingdom Hearts nod, asking, “Wheres your key blade Mickey?”

Others felt the tour gave major video game vibes, with one comment reading, “Feels like I’m playing a Disney interactive game on my computer.” And for long-time Disney park lovers, the shout-out to Toontown was an instant hit: “THEY MENTIONED TOONTOWN!!!” Several fans celebrated the use of the OG animation style, while another wished aloud, “Why don’t we have classic style cartoons like this with the whole cast again?”

Disney Knows How to Give the People What They Want

Between the retro animation style, clever design, and pure Disney charm, the post tapped straight into fans’ collective nostalgia. It’s not the first time Disney has leaned on its vintage look. The company has been revisiting classic character designs in recent shorts and theme park attractions, blending old-school charm with modern polish.

And judging by the comments, this whimsical house tour wasn’t just a treat for casual viewers. It was a full-on Disney deep cut for die-hard fans. Mickey’s latest post proves one thing: when it comes to keeping his home (and brand) timeless, the mouse still has it.
