Fans React to Former DWTS Pro’s Desire to Return

Former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Keo Motsepe said that he’d like to return to the show.

“I still miss being on the show. You know, in life, in every person’s life or journey where you stop doing something because of whatever the situation is, and you still miss that last moment,” Motsepe told The U.S. Sun.

“You’re like, just that last one, one more time to be on the stage. That, that is what I crave. I think through the universe and through God and through the producers of the show, when it’s the right time, and with everything online about me coming back, then yeah, you know, I’ll be back,” he continued, adding, “a thousand percent I want to be back.”

Motsepe joined DWTS as a pro on season 19 and was partnered with Lolo Jones. They were eliminated week one. Motsepe appeared on eight more seasons, making it to the semifinals only once; on season 27 with “Harry Potter” star Evanna Lynch.

He hasn’t been on the show since season 29. No one really knows why he hasn’t been asked to return.

Many Fans Want Keo Motsepe to Return to ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Shortly after The U.S. Sun shared the interview with Motsepe, someone posted it to Reddit where fans reacted on a new thread.

“Yes, bring back Keo; he’s a good dancer and really funny. This show could use more dancers with vibrant personalities; especially in the male Pro lineup,” one person wrote.

“I really miss seeing Keo on the show. He’s an excellent dancer and always seemed to have both a great passion for dancing and a sweet, nurturing personality for the stars he was paired with,” someone else added.

“Bring back Keo! Beautiful dancer and he has such an entertaining personality for TV,” a third Redditor said.

“I feel like they always did Keo dirty. He was always one of my favorites and I would absolutely love to see him return,” a fourth comment read.

Keo Motsepe Said the Death of His Mother Turned His World Upside Down

Motsepe lost his mom in 2021.

“I am gonna miss you mama. I love you. #RIP,” he wrote on his Instagram Stories at the time, according to ET. During an Instagram Live, he shared, “I lost the queen of my heart.”

In his 2024 interview with The U.S. Sun, Motsepe shared how losing his mom affected him.

“They call last minute, like, we don’t know on the show, pretty much, sometimes until two days before you meet your partner, that’s when you get a call,” he told the outlet.

“And I think, after losing my mom, I was in a space where, like, whether I get a call or not, I was just like, I didn’t know where was forward, where was side up or down. It was a very rough time for me personally, so I think that is the big part of just not doing the show or doing something that will put me on a stage that is like publicly or whatever,” he continued.

“Stuff like that so like everything I’ve done recently has been since then has been like behind the scenes you know,” he added.
