“Dancing with the Stars” alum Amanda Kloots, who competed on Season 30 alongside professional dance partner Alan Bersten, made a rare outing with her son, Elvis Cordero.
Kloots does not often attend events with her son, so the outing is an opportunity to see more of Elvis and how grown-up he is getting. He is six. Kloots shares Elvis with her late husband, actor Nick Cordero. Cordero died in 2020 from complications relating to COVID-19. He was 41.
Amanda Kloots Shares a Special Milestone
The mom and son attended the Los Angeles premiere of “Shucked,” People reports. “’Shucked’ will be shown at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre until September 7. Photos (which can be seen on People) show Kloots and Elvis smiling for the camera. Kloots is wearing white and holding her son in her arms.
Elvis is growing up! One week ago, Kloots shared adorable photos of her son on Instagram wearing a suit. The images are in celebration of Elvis’s first day of First Grade. “First grade! Where did summer go?! He wanted to wear his three piece suit, to look “handsome” he said. New backpack, @lakings of course,” Kloots captioned the photo. “My favorite Bible verse that gets us through tough days. Our friendship bracelets. Notes from Mom. Best friends. Lots of positive reinforcement. The walk down to school, never easy. Lots of tears. Will we ever not cry the first day of school?”

Fans showed their support in the comment section. “You are such a beautiful mother/son combo. And Elvis is one of the cutest kids I’ve ever seen,” a comment reads. “First grade…wow doesn’t seem possible. It’s been wonderful watching Elvis and you together,” another fan added.
Reality TV star Harry Jowsey also reacted to the photo, writing, “handsome guy.”
Amanda Kloots Reflects on How Nick Cordero Was a Proud Dad
Kloots has shared details of her son’s birth and how Cordero, who was there at the time, felt about his son. “June 10, 2019 At 6:41am Elvis Eduardo Cordero was born after 56 hours of labor!!! Happy Birthday to Elvis!” Kloots posted throwback photos on Instagram on June 10, 2024, in honor of Elvis’s fifth birthday. “I’m super nostalgic today so forgive all the photos that might be posted. I don’t think you ever feel as close to your partner as you do on the day your child is born. It’s a crazy and beautiful moment that I’ll never forget.”
She also reflected on how Nick was “the cutest new dad” and how he was “so proud” of his son. Kloots ended her caption with a touching sentence about her cherished memories. She wrote, “How time flies and so much changes but we will always have this day and these memories.”
