This response is significant, and it is words that Kloots has used before because it is also the name of a song by her late husband, actor Nick Cordero. Cordero died in 2020 from complications relating to COVID-19. He was 41, The Flow Space reports.

Kloots’ husband’s death has understandably had an impact on her life, and she has worked hard to build herself back up. She has also leaned on other women who find themselves in similar situations, and finding community has helped her face her new reality.

Kloots relies on the “life-changing” support from a “community of widows and widowers,” she said in June 2025 at an appearance at the NYC Experience Wellness & Travel Media Event, The Flow Space reports.

She continued, “It’s an instant when you meet somebody that understands what you’re going through, what you’ve gone through, and what your journey is. You’re like, ‘Oh, wait. I’m not the only one.’ And of course, you’re not the only one, but you feel like you are… Grief makes you feel very, very alone.”

The star also discussed how she loved having the community and referred to those in her support network as “an amazing group of women and men.”
