Zac Brown and Kendra Scott are turning their duet into a lifelong commitment. The country music superstar and the celebrated jewelry designer have officially announced their engagement. The couple shared their happy news on Thursday, July 24, telling People in a joint statement, “We are so happy and grateful that we found each other.”
In engagement photos shared with the publication, Scott showed off a stunning pink diamond ring. During a Friday performance on the “Today” show, Brown, 46, was glowing when asked about the milestone. “It’s incredible, we’re so happy we found each other,” he shared. He humorously added, “What are you going to get someone who designs jewelry?”
Scott, 51, was seen smiling from the audience. Brown also told the morning show that this new chapter “adds so much energy to everything else, more to give to music, more to give to our families, so we’re blessed.”
A Whirlwind Public Romance
While the engagement news may seem sudden to fans, the couple’s connection has been growing for some time. They first stepped out publicly at the American Music Awards in May 2025, a major step that they celebrated on social media. “Hit the @amas red carpet with the best date by my side,” Brown captioned an Instagram post from the evening.
Scott echoed the sentiment in her own post, praising Brown for receiving the inaugural Veteran’s Voice Award. “What an unforgettable night at the @amas,” she wrote. “@zacbrown, I’m so incredibly proud of you — of your heart, your service, and the man you are. You couldn’t deserve this more.”
Although their red-carpet debut was recent, a source exclusively told Us Weekly that the pair had been introduced by mutual friends and had been bonding privately for some time before making their relationship public.
Shared Values and Blended Families
Those close to the couple say their bond is built on a strong foundation of shared principles. “That shared family value has been a big part of their connection,” an insider explained to Us Weekly, adding, “They’re not just partners — they’re teammates.”
Both Brown and Scott prioritize family, and together they will blend their two families. Brown shares five children with his first wife, Shelly Brown, while Scott has three sons from two previous marriages.
Their affection has been clear to followers, with Scott recently sharing a photo kissing Brown’s cheek on Instagram. She captioned the picture with a line from his band’s new song, writing, “Whenever I’m with you, I ain’t worried about it.” Brown lovingly replied, “Such a lady. So much of the world to explore, but anywhere is home with you.”
