As a cookbook author and long-time food personality on TV, Trisha Yearwood has tried out plenty of July 4th recipes. Ahead of the 2025 holiday weekend, the country music icon took to Instagram to highlight some of her go-to dishes for a festive spread.
Beloved dishes from across two of her cookbooks made the cut, including The Party Burger and her version of deviled eggs. Fans shared their own July 4th menus in the comments, including one who lists a Yearwood recipe as a staple in their home. “Uncle Wilson’s Ice Cream Thing has become my 9 year old son’s birthday cake tradition!” the fan wrote of Yearwood’s amusingly-named dessert. “He looks forward to it every year.”
Yearwood Will Have a Busy Evening on The 4th

Although the singer would undoubtedly make magic happen in her kitchen on the 4th, she’ll have a busy night ahead of her. As USA Today reported, Yearwood will perform that evening as part of the Macy’s 4th of July fireworks show. She’ll take the stage alongside the Jonas Brothers, Eric Church, and several other talented singers. This year marks the 49th anniversary of the annual event.
Fans will likely get a chance to hear some of Yearwood’s greatest hits alongside new singles from her new album, “The Mirror,” which drops on July 18th. However, no official setlist has been released as of this publication.
Husband Garth Brooks Will Treat Nashville Locals to Free Hot Dogs

While Yearwood will spend some of the 4th on stage, husband Garth Brooks has his own plans for their Nashville bar. In June, the pair appeared in a promotional video for a special July 4th event at “Friends in Low Places:” a hot dog giveaway. The bar plans to treat visitors to free hot dogs while supplies last. “No rules. Just buns, dogs, and the grill,” the post’s caption read.
In the video, Yearwood references the quarter of a million people projected to make Nashville their July 4th destination. She jokingly tells her aproned husband that he’ll be “cooking out” for that large of a crowd, prompting a funny reaction from Brooks. As the post also notes, the event will also include live musical performances.
