Sheryl Crow is stepping back into the spotlight! This summer, the “Soak Up The Sun” singer is set to return to the stage as part of the 2025 Outlaw Music Festival. The singer-songwriter will join other major music legends for the long-awaited event, including Willie Nelson, Turnpike Troubadours, Charles Wesley Godwin, Bob Dylan, and more. This will mark a significant return for Crow after years of focusing on family.
Family Before Everything
Speaking about balancing family and career, Crow opened up to Variety about her sons, Wyatt and Levi. She revealed what it meant to step back into music and why she decided to take a minor break. “I’m too selfish to want to miss any time with them; I feel like my 18-year-old was just born, and he’s gonna be leaving for college in a year,” she said. “But once they’re both out of the house, I’ll go back to work full time, because I have an acute connection to joy when I’m playing.”
Crow emphasized how important it’s been to be present during her children’s formative years. Wyatt is soon headed to college, with Levi not far behind. While she never considered this period to be a minor step back from the industry, she’s remained musically active. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2023 and the following year released her latest album, “Evolution.” The, which is her twelfth studio album, features the fan-favorite single “Alarm Clock.”
A Busy Mom & Musician
Now, in 2025, Crow returns to the stage for the Outlaw Music Festival’s 10th anniversary tour. The tour spans more than 30 dates across North America and will also include performances from Billy Strings, Wilco, the Avett Brothers, and more. Crow will join for select dates, bringing her signature blend of country, pop, and Americana.
Crow is also making her return to television. She recently appeared on “The Voice” during the Playoff Rounds on Season 27 of The Voice, alongside fellow country artist Kelsea Ballerini. Interestingly, Crow shared a surprise during a recent interview about the big move, revealing she had actually turned down an offer to be a full-time coach on the show’s first season in 2011.
“I had a newborn and did not want to move back to L.A.,” she told People. “Actually, that’s not true. He was about 2 years old and I didn’t want to move back to L.A., and so I didn’t do it. And I have not really entertained it since then because we have a busy life here and normalcy is really lovely.” Although she wasn’t a coach in Season 1, Crow did join as a Battle Round advisor for Team Blake in Season 4. This new appearance marks her second time on the show, where she’ll also be working alongside LeAnn Rimes.
