Country music icon Shania Twain took the stage in Jacksonville, Florida, on July 29, 2025. However, she wasn’t alone for long. As 97.3 The Bull reported, Twain invited two military veterans on stage with her at one point during the show. The husband and wife team caught her attention for holding up a very unique sign, which read: “We Named Our Baby Shania!”
Twain posted the moment on Instagram, captioning the video, “Their energy was everything!!” In the video, the wife explained, “We named our daughter Shania after you,we love you so much. …I used to listen to Shania Twain when I was about two years old.” As the husband shared, the couple has Twain to partially thank for their marriage; his choice to buy tickets to her Las Vegas residency played a role in his now-wife accepting his proposal. “Your joy is so beautiful,” Twain told them.
Other Fans Loved This Sweet Moment

Fans in the post’s comments section loved the sweet interaction, including some who said they saw it happen in person. “Me and my husband were there last night and this was absolutely awesome to see!” one fan wrote. Others shared similar sentiments, while some praised Twain’s loving response to the couple.
The show in Jacksonville is just one of several Twain had planned in the Sunshine State for summer 2025. In April, she announced two Jacksonville and two Davie shows to round out her summer of performing. In an Instagram post, Twain explained the reason for the extra performances. “Florida, you guys are SO ready to party, we’ve added second shows in Jacksonville and Davie due to the demand!” the singer wrote.
Twain Will Celebrate Another Special Moment Later in August 2025

August 2025 is a major month for Twain, as she’ll reach a milestone birthday on the 28th. As she explained to 106.5 WYRK, the singer plans to ring in her 60th year in the Bahamas, where she’s currently working on a new record. In May, she took to Instagram to reflect on the upcoming birthday and where she is in her career.
“As I head into my 60th journey around the sun and my 7th studio album I know that this world isn’t systemically built to nurture a woman of my age releasing music,” she wrote. “BUT I feel more in tune with myself than ever – strong, inspired and full of creative energy.” As of this publication, there’s no official word on when fans might expect Twain to release her new album.
