Riley Green’s Exciting New Career Move Is Totally ’90s

Riley Green grew up on ’90s country music, and now he’s paying homage to the hits of that decade with an exciting new career move. As Whiskey Riff reported, the singer is gearing up to host a limited podcast series on Apple Music Country. The topic? Everything that makes the ’90s such a great slice of country music history.

“I’m excited to take fans back to that era and maybe introduce a few new folks to the kind of country music that raised me,” Green said of the series, according to Cowboys & Indians.

“The ’90s Country Show” premieres tonight, July 30, 2025, at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

As Cowboys & Indians reported, the first episode of Green’s podcast will be jam-packed. Tracey Lawrence and Billy Ray Cyrus, two iconic representatives of ’90s country music, will join Green for this episode. The “Worst Way” singer will be highlighting his love for the band Alabama, and also give fans a glimpse into his family life. The series will run for six weekly episodes.

Not only does Green enjoy listening to Alabama’s music, he’s also performed some of their songs. Green started his music journey playing covers, and he has put his own spin on the Alabama classic “Dixieland Delight” multiple times. One of the most notable examples came in 2022, when he played the song as part of a special called “CMT Giants: Alabama.”

A new podcast isn’t the only thing Green has to celebrate. As his record label, Big Machine Label Group, reported, he now has another platinum hit under his belt. His newest duet with Ella Langley, “Don’t Mind If I Do,” achieved RIAA platinum status on July 29, 2025.

This is the second platinum duet for the pair, who first made waves together with the ultra-popular “You Look Like You Love Me.”

Green is also still in the throes of touring. His “Damn Country Music” tour is in full swing throughout the summer, hitting Pennsylvania, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, California, Washington, and a few stops in Canada in August. In September, he’ll make his way to the UK for a set of eight sold-out shows before returning to the US in the fall for dates in D.C., South Carolina, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Arizona, Ohio, Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nevada and more.
