Priscilla Block and Diplo Team Up for Country-Rave Crossover Hit ‘Bullet’

Talk about an unexpected duo. In what can only be described as a “summer country rave anthem,” country star Priscilla Block has teamed up with DJ and music producer Diplo for a track that has fans fired up and ready to dance.

Block teased the new single on Instagram with a lip-sync video, captioned, “FREAKING TF OUT CAUSE THIS DROPS AT MIDNIGHT @diplo @vavomusic #bullet.” Fans were quick to respond with excitement, flooding the comments with praise. “This has me hyped up for summer! So good! 🔥🔥,” one user wrote. Another added, “Love it x a million ❤️.”

A Country-EDM Anthem

The track also features electronic duo VAVO, known for blending EDM with country in a style they’ve dubbed YEEDM. In their Instagram post, they expressed excitement over the collaboration: “Words can’t really describe how proud and excited I am about this release,” they wrote. “I’ve always looked up to Wes [Diplo]—he’s one of the best music producers, period. I’ve dreamed of working on an original with him.”

They went on to praise Block for being one of the first country artists to embrace the YEEDM genre, recalling how she invited them to remix several of her songs in 2023 and even brought them onstage during a live performance. “This song has been in the making for a while,” the post continued. “I’m so DAMN excited to say that we’re releasing this record Wednesday, April 23!”

Diplo’s Country Roots Run Deep

Though best known for his work in electronic music, Diplo isn’t new to the country scene. His 2020 album, “Diplo Presents Thomas Wesley, Chapter 1: Snake Oil,” featured collaborations with artists like Cam, Zac Brown, Thomas Rhett, Billy Ray Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, Elle King, Morgan Wallen, and Koe Wetzel.

Block, meanwhile, shot to fame after going viral on TikTok with her breakout hit “Just About Over You,” which led to a deal with Mercury Nashville. The track officially debuted in 2021 and climbed to No. 81 on the Billboard Hot 100, while also becoming a Top 20 hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.

Often described as a blend of Southern rock and country pop, Block is known for keeping her fans involved in her creative process, regularly engaging with them online. Her down-to-earth approach has earned her two Academy of Country Music Award nominations and a CMT Music Award nod for Breakthrough Video of the Year for “Just About Over You.”
