Parker McCollum Teases Next Era of Country with New Single Drop

Parker McCollum is giving fans a heartfelt preview of what’s to come with the release of his newest single, “Hope That I’m Enough.” Released on April 16, the track signals a deeply personal shift in tone for the rising country star as he gears up for his next studio album. Known for his honest lyrics and raw performances, McCollum dives into self-reflection on the new track, opening up about insecurities, love, and the desire for emotional reassurance.

The song marks the beginning of a new era for the Texas native, as he readies a project he says will return to the musical roots that shaped him. “Hope That I’m Enough” offers a vulnerable look into the kind of storytelling fans can expect from his forthcoming album, due out June 27 via UMG Nashville.

“Hope That I’m Enough” Sets a Reflective Tone

Produced by Jon Randall, the single captures McCollum’s signature blend of modern country with classic songwriting influences. In the track, he wrestles with the emotional weight of wondering whether he’s doing enough to sustain love, happiness, and personal growth. The lyrics, “I hope that when you’re dreamin’ / It’s me in a hundred years / Hope I’m still the one you love,” are delivered with aching sincerity.

That relatability has struck a chord with listeners, many of whom have praised the track for its emotional honesty and stripped-down production. The ballad leans into acoustic arrangements and gentle steel guitar flourishes, keeping the spotlight on McCollum’s expressive vocals and storytelling. It’s a thoughtful departure from some of the more radio-polished tracks in his catalog, offering fans a more introspective side of the artist.

New Album Pays Tribute to Country Roots

While McCollum hasn’t yet revealed the album’s title, he’s hinted at its inspiration and direction. Speaking with KTLO, he shared that the new record reminds him of the music that inspired him as a teenager.

“Fifteen-, 16-year-old Parker, if he was listening to this record while hauling a** to his grandparents’ barn on a Friday afternoon after school… he would have thought of that guy the way that I thought of [Cross Canadian] Ragweed the first time I ever heard ‘17,’” he said.

He added, “Or Randy Rogers, the first time I ever heard Rollercoaster, or Turnpike [Troubadours], the first time I ever heard Diamonds & Gasoline, or the first time I ever heard Ryan Bingham’s Mescalito and Roadhouse Sun.”

The album follows the success of 2023’s Never Enough, which featured hits like “Handle on You” and “Burn It Down.” That record earned McCollum critical acclaim and cemented his place as one of country music’s leading voices.

As McCollum continues to evolve, he remains committed to creating music that resonates. Whether addressing heartbreak, fame, or personal growth, his authenticity remains front and center. “Hope That I’m Enough” proves he’s not afraid to show his most human side.

With a deeply honest single now out and a new album just weeks away, McCollum is poised to make another powerful statement. Fans can also catch him live on the 2025 “Parker McCollum Tour,” which kicks off June 26 and features special guests like Corey Smith, Kameron Marlowe, Vincent Mason, Ashley Cooke, and more.
