Morgan Wallen fans, it’s about to get live!
The bad boy of country music returns to Saturday Night Live this Saturday, March 29.
Wallen will be Saturday’s musical guest on the 30 Rock stage, alongside host, “Anora” star Mikey Madison. And fans are here for it.
In a series of promos posted on SNL’s Instagram page, Wallen stands beside Madison and SNL cast member Chloe Fineman, talking about the upcoming show. In the comments of the post, fans write, “We are here for our East Tennessee boy 🧡” and “Morgan Wallen about to save SNL”
Another follower comments, “Since @morganwallen will be hosting I’ll watch. This will be the first time I’ve watched SNL in years. Can’t wait. Best artist and performer out there now days.”
Saturday Will Be Morgan Wallen’s Second Appearance on SNL
Morgan Wallen made his SNL debut in December 2020, two months after being removed from the show lineup for violating pandemic protocols that were in place at the time. The week he was set to appear, Wallen was photographed maskless at a University of Alabama football game, kissing female students.
When he appeared on SNL two months later, Wallen took part in a skit making fun of the incident alongside host Jason Bateman.
SNL posted Wallen’s performances from 2020 on the show’s Instagram page. Wallen sang both “Seven Summers” and “Not Going Down” in his 2020 appearance.
Wallen Will Soon Launch ‘I’m the Problem’ Tour
For Wallen’s fans, Saturday’s live performances are just a taste of things to come.
The singer has announced that he’ll drop a new album on May 16th.
Rather than shying away from past legal troubles, Morgan Wallen is leaning into his reputation as a bad boy of country music, titling his fourth studio album “I’m the Problem.”
And this summer, he’ll launch a 19-city North American tour to support the new album.
The “I’m the Problem Tour” will kick off this June. It comes with a lot of star power from Wallen’s famous friends. Various stops will feature a rotating lineup of celebrity guests including Brooks & Dunn, Miranda Lambert, Thomas Rhett and Koe Wetze
