Giving back is something many celebrities devote their free time to, and country music star Miranda Lambert took part in a fundraiser on April 24, 2025. The singer was in attendance for the 13th annual MJ&M fundraiser. Hosts of the event include Jack Ingram, football coach Mack Brown, and Texas native Matthew McConaughey.
A few days later, Lambert took to Instagram to post a photo of her and her husband, Brendan McCoughlin, posing alongside McConaughey and his wife, Camila. The photo carousel also included shots of Lambert on stage with Ingram and Jon Randall.
Lambert Was Part of the Event’s “Jack and Friends” Concert

The MJ&M Fundraiser spanned two days, and as People reported, one of the many events featured was a “Jack and Friends” concert organized by Ingram. Singer Ryan Bingham performed, as well as Lambert, Ingram, and Randall.
Performing together is nothing new for the trio, who previously collaborated on the 2021 album “The Marfa Tapes.” Since the album’s release, the three singers have performed together multiple times over the years. In 2023, Lambert posted a TikTok video of them singing the track “Amazing Grace (West Texas).” As Rolling Stone reported, the group recorded most of the songs for “The Marfa Tapes” outdoors, using the Texas desert as their nature-based studio.
The Year’s MJ&M Event Raised $17 Million for Charity

The MJ&M Fundraiser raises money for charities that support children both nationally and within Texas. Some examples include HeartGift and The Rise School of Austin. The 2025 iteration of the event raised a whopping $17 million for these organizations. In speaking to People about the event, Camila explained that the generosity of Texans brought her to tears. “They don’t just sit around talking about things that need doing,” she said. “If there’s a disaster, a chance to help, they’ll jump right up. They’re so passionate about supporting.”
Organizer Ingram told People that Willie Nelson’s long history of charitable work was part of what inspired him to create the fundraiser. Ingram explained how he initially pitched the idea to his fellow organizers: “I texted these guys and said, ‘Hey, I’m not Willie Nelson, but I think we can do something fun.'”
