As a songwriter-turned-singer, HARDY has had a chance to collaborate with plenty of other country music artists, and has built solid partnerships (and friendships) along the way. In a video clip Much Music shared on April 28, 2025, a fellow artist took the time to sing the “Truck Bed” singer’s praises: Keith Urban.

During the interview, Urban gave HARDY kudos for his versatility, saying: “If you can make a Linkin Park country record, HARDY’s doing it.” The singer went on to share that he believes country fusion songs could be the key to traditional rock music making a comeback. According to Urban, the heavier sounds that artists like HARDY are bringing to the genre might lead to a hard rock resurgence.

Urban isn’t just a HARDY fan; he’s also collaborated with the singer. In 2019, Urban lent his voice to “No Place Like Hometown,” a song on HARDY’s mixtape, “HiXTAPE Volume 1.” The album included over a dozen other country artists joining HARDY on ten original tracks.

Urban shared a video on Instagram in 2023 with a callback to the collaboration, singing a portion of the song while playing guitar. Urban wrote: “…Was invited by this total bada** to take a verse and shred a bit on “No Place Like Hometown” with Hillary Lindsey for HiXTAPE Vol. 1 in 2019.” The post also promoted HARDY’s performance at All For The Hall, which was scheduled for later that year.

Supporting fellow artists on social media is one thing, but Urban went a step further in 2022. As The Tennessean reported, HARDY and long-time collaborator Ernest hosted a party in support of HiXTAPE at Losers, a bar in Nashville. Several artists had planned performances scheduled in support of the duo, but Urban also made an impromptu appearance at the event.

The day after the event, Urban posted an Instagram Reel of highlights from the appearance, including him taking the stage with HARDY to sing “No Place Like Hometown.” The two exchange a hug and smiles during the video, showing fans a heartwarming moment of camaraderie in the country music world.
