Ella Langley Shares the Game-Changing Advice She Got From Miranda Lambert

When the road gets tough, sometimes all it takes is one powerful woman to change everything. For Ella Langley, that woman was none other than Miranda Lambert.

Yes, a true country music icon who helped her find the confidence to truly shine. Honestly, we expect nothing less.

A Dream Performance and Lifelong Inspiration for Ella Langley

When the spotlight gets bright, confidence can sometimes feel far away for new artists. But for Langley, Lambert was the key to unlocking that inner strength. From heartfelt advice to steady encouragement, the “Mamma’s Broken Heart” singer helped Langley overcome her self-doubt before performing together at the ACM Awards this year.

The two powerhouses celebrated country music by singing a rendition of Lambert’s hit, “Kerosene.” Speaking to People about the experience, Langley said, “There’s a ridiculous amount of highlights of that whole entire week. But performing ‘Kerosene,’ I already knew that I was going to do ‘Weren’t for the Wind,’ but when we got asked to do ‘Kerosene,’ God, I was like, ‘It just made the night so much better for me because I got that initial fear out.’ That was our first time performing together. It felt like a 12-year-old kid living her biggest dream ever on stage.”

Recently, during an interview on the “Big D & Bubba Radio Show,” the “Weren’t for the Wind” singer shared that Lambert also gave her invaluable advice, female artist to female artist. “On a day as massive as, you know, performing on the ACMs with somebody you’ve looked up to for so long…she was very comforting,” Langley said. She recalled Lambert telling her, “‘You belong here, you belong here,’ you know? She kept killing the imposter syndrome in my brain.”

Women Supporting Women in Country Music

Langley went on to win a total of five ACM Awards, including Visual Media of the Year (as producer and artist), New Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year, and Music Event of the Year.

Both Langley and Lambert are set to share the stage again, opening for country star Morgan Wallen on his I’m The Problem Tour, starting June 28th in Madison, Wisconsin.

This spirit of female support isn’t unique to Langley and Lambert. Recently, Lainey Wilson spoke about the bond she formed with Langley after the ACM Awards, where they both won big.

In an interview with iHeartCountry, Wilson said, “She’s kind of like my little sister, in a way, and I see a lot of myself in her. But she’s got this spunk to her that I’m like, ‘There ain’t no stoppin’ this chick,’ which I love to see. She is a go-getter, and she is one of the most talented people.”

Wilson continued, “I FaceTimed her the morning of the ACMs and was just checking on her. I was like, ‘I know these are stressful days.’ It kind of feels like your wedding day, you know? And she was doing well. She was holding her own. So, I’m proud of her.”

As for advice to other female artists wanting to make it in the country world, Wilson encouraged them “just to keep your head down and work hard, but also…acknowledge that their hard work has gotten them to this point…and not letting the voices of the world get them down.”

We love to see women coming together and supporting each other!
