If you needed proof that EVERYBODY loves Dolly Parton, grab your stopwatch!
It turns out tickets to see Dolly in her mini-residence this December at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas sold out in just 90-minutes.
In a post on X, Caesar’s Palace announced the sellout less than two hours after tickets became available June 25. The post reads, “Thank you to all the fans who logged on for tickets to Dolly: Live in Las Vegas today. The demand far exceeded the available tickets and there are no more tickets available at this time.”
Dolly announced the shows just days before tickets went on sale.
In a press release, Dolly says, “To say I’m excited would be an understatement. I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there. I’m looking so forward to the shows in The Colosseum at Caesars and I hope you are as well. See you there!”
It will be Dolly’s first “extended run” in Sin City in 32 years.
Dolly Parton’s Vegas Shows Will Take Fans Through Her Hits
The release says Dolly’s show will “weave together seven decades of classic hits and fan favorites including ‘9 to 5,’ ‘Jolene,’ ‘I Will Always Love You,’ ‘Coat Of Many Colors,’ and many more, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see one of the world’s most beloved entertainers at the peak of her success.”
With Dolly Parton turning 80-years-old January 19, a little more than a month after her Vegas mini-residency, it’s very possibly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for her fans.
But Dolly also plans to go big for her milestone birthday.
When an “E News” interviewer asked her, “Dolly would or Dolly wouldn’t throw a massive party for her 80th birthday?” “Oh, I would!” Dolly exclaimed. “Of course! I’d probably do it on television. I’d probably do some big special. I might surprise you, make some announcement.”
“You think I’m gonna let a thing like that go by without making a big to-do about of it?” Dolly went on. “I mean, how many people turn 80-years-old still doing all the things I’m doing? So I’m excited about it. I mean, I don’t like being 80, but since I am and I’m still doing great, I’m going to make the most of it.”
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Is One of the Top Venues in the World
The fans lucky enough to snag tickets to Dolly’s shows in Las Vegas are in for a treat.
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace has been named Billboard’s “Top Live Entertainment Venue Worldwide” since 2005.
The venue, which seats 4,300 people, is located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. It’s hosted some of the biggest entertainers in the business. That list includes Rod Stewart, Adele, Josh Groban, Blake Shelton, Jerry Seinfeld and Garth Brooks.
And when Dolly Parton adds her name to that list, no one in the audience will be more than 145-feet from the iconic singer.
On the Caesars Palace website, it boasts that the the Colosseum offers a “first-of-its-kind modular seating capability via an automated lift system, allowing for immense viewing flexibility, enhanced show offerings and more immersive fan interactions. The theatre was built in an intimate setting, with the furthest of the seat being only 145ft from the stage. It also includes a new VIP area, complete with banquettes for groups from two to ten and bottle/cocktail service.”
