Chris Stapleton Stops By ‘Sesame Street’ and Hearts Are Melting

Chris Stapleton’s All-American Road Show took a little detour to Sesame Street, and fans hearts are melting at the adorable result!

The “Tennessee Whiskey” singer sat down on the iconic Sesame Street stoop to teach Elmo and Abby Cadabby about music and friends.

Stapleton is instantly recognizable in his signature cowboy hat, denim shirt and long beard and hair.

As he starts to strum his guitar and sing “You’ve Got a Friend in Music,” a modified take on the Randy Newman song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from “Toy Story,” Stapleton draws quite a crowd.

First Bert and Ernie join in and sing a verse, then Grover and Cookie Monster join the sing-a-long.

The song’s lyrics are “Music is the sound of your friends gathered around / and the smiles and the frowns on their faces / Music helps you feel feelings true and real / And they’re felt by people in different places.”
