Brandi Cyrus Gushes With Excitement About Opening for Kenny Chesney

Brandi Cyrus, the sister of pop star Miley Cyrus, is opening for country star Kenny Chesney.

“Honestly, I’m still in shock. It is such an amazing opportunity. Kenny is a legend,” Brandi told Page Six in an interview at the iHeartRadio Music Awards on the red carpet in Los Angeles, California. Page Six shared video of its interview with Brandi.

People reported that Tish Cyrus had Brandi with her first husband Baxter Neal Helson, but Billy Ray Cyrus adopted Brandi after he married Tish. Brandi is a DJ and podcaster, People reported.

“Him being at the Sphere is going to be off the charts! I can’t wait to see the show he puts together for this and I’m just so honored that he chose me to open,” Brandi told Page Six.

According to Page Six, Cyrus will join Chesney for his Las Vegas, Nevada, residency which starts May 22, 2025. She will participate in all of his 15 shows, according to Page Six, which reported that the show will be “unlike” anything she’s done before.

“It is going to be very unique to the Sphere and to Kenny and everything he does,” she told Page Six.

“I’m going to play a lot of deeper country cuts that I normally wouldn’t get an opportunity to play. I’ve got some fresh new edits of country music … and I think everyone can expect to come and have a party.”

Cyrus also expressed excitement in an Instagram post in which she announced she would be opening for Chesney.

“THE SPHERE!!! A once in a lifetime experience and I’m SOOO thrilled to be joining @kennychesney for all 15 shows of his iconic residency! I can’t wait to put together an extra special show for y’all. Let’s party!!! Comment below what songs you wanna hear! Limited tix left – see you real soon 😎😎” she wrote in the post.

Fans were happy for Cyrus. “Wow!!! This is amazing girl!!” wrote one person in her Instagram comment thread.

Billy Ray Cyrus has six kids. Brandi Cyrus is one of the five kids he shares with his ex-wife Tish, according to Page Six.
