The Bey-hive is buzzing after Beyonce’ brought her daughters to the stage for the opening night of her concert tour at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
Queen Bey brought 7-year-old Rumi and 13-year-old Blue Ivy on stage for the song “Protector,” which Rumi performed on in her mom’s “Cowboy Carter” album.
Videos posted by fans in the audience show an excited Rumi decked out in a gold, sparkly feather dress and matching cowboy boots at the kickoff concert April 28.
Rumi hugged her mom during the opening lyrics, then walked with her onstage during the chorus. The smiling cutie even struck a “protector” pose and waved at the audience!
Blue Ivy Busts Out Her Best Dance Moves
But it was Beyonce’ and Jay-Z’s oldest child, 13-year-old Blue Ivy, who really stole the show!
Wearing a sparkly ensemble that matched her mom’s Cowboy Carter-themed bodysuit, Blue Ivy showed off her dance skills to the delight of the crowd.
Fans posted videos on social media of the teenager taking center stage to dance to Beyonce’s “Deja Vu.” The teenager confidently fronted a group of dancers during the song, then ended by blowing kisses and flashing peace signs at the crowd.
Blue Ivy Has Become a Regular Presence at Her Mom’s Shows

Blue Ivy has become a regular sidekick for the superstar singer. She went on stage with Beyonce’ in February when she won Album of the Year at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
And Blue Ivy is no stranger to the concert stage.
The teen began performing as a back-up dancer during her mom’s Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off in 2023 when she was just 11 years old.
She’s also performed with her mother at other events, including her mom’s NFL Christmas halftime show, which aired on Netflix. In the show, Blue Ivy walks out holding Beyonce’s hand.
Both are wearing white cowboy hats, and Blue Ivy sports a “Cowboy Carter” sash like the rest of the dancers.
Rumi Made Musical Debut on ‘Cowboy Carter’ Album
Rumi made her musical debut at the beginning of the song “Protector,” track four on Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter” album.
The then-6-year-old can be heard at the beginning of the song asking, “Mom, can I hear the lullaby, please?” So far, Rumi’s twin brother Sir has largely stayed out of the spotlight.
While she seems to be incorporating her daughters more and more into her professional life, especially with her new tour, Beyoncé previously opened up about the challenges of being a mother and an artist.
In an interview with GQ in October 2024, Beyonce’ said, “One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible, ensuring my personal life isn’t turned into a brand. It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art.”
“I try to only tour when my kids are out of school,” she added. “I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture and lifestyles.”
