Helena Bonham Carter Brings Daughter to the “Cabaret” 1500th Gala, and They Brought The Looks

Helena Bonham Carter, an always-iconic star turned up to the 1500th gala performance of “Cabaret” at London’s Kit Kat Club. But this time, she didn’t walk the carpet alone. Her 17-year-old daughter, Nell Burton (yes, that Nell, her daughter with Tim Burton) joined her for a somewhat rare and totally adorable public appearance.

And let’s just say: these two didn’t just show up… they showed out.

Only Helena Could Pull This Off

When your mom is Helena Bonham Carter and your dad is Tim Burton, you’re basically built for theatrical entrances. Nell proved it at the “Cabaret” gala, stepping into E! News’ video frame (seen below) for just a moment. She’s wearing a structured blue corset top, while her long dark hair was down and wavy. The whole thing gives off effortless cool vibes with a touch of Tim Burton goth-girl edge.

Helena, naturally, went full Helena. She wore a black top covered in a pinkish floral print, layered under a black puffy jacket (i.e. practical, but make it eccentric). Helena’s hair was piled up in her signature messy-chic updo, with a scarf knotted into the look for that extra touch of “Victorian poet meets 90s London rebel.” And peep the car keys still casually in her hand, then keep scrolling to see the footwear choice… think comfort over fashion.

The two can be seen briefly in the video above while on the red carpet outside the Kit Kat Club; looking like a theatrical time warp in the best way. And fans were living for it in the Instagram comments. One summed it up simply: “She’s ICONIC!”

Another brought some delightful chaos to the comments section, saying, “That’s actually Bellatrix Lestrange dressed as Helena Bonham [Carter].” Honestly? Not impossible.

And then there was the fan who totally got the vibe: “I love that she’s true to herself… she’s not trying to impress anybody.”

Is Nell Keeping the Theatrical Legacy Going?

Nell may be low-key most of the time, but this year? She’s clearly feeling the spotlight a little more. Nell appeared with her mom on June 11 at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party. It was another standout fashion moment that had the internet buzzing.

Before that, her last big red carpet appearance was all the way back in 2021, which can be seen below. Nell showed up at the Rome Film Festival, where she walked alongside Tim Burton, Billy Raymond Burton (her brother), and Levi (the dog).

Besides these few moments, Nell has also made a few blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameos in her dad’s movies, including “Alice in Wonderland” and “Big Eyes.” Most recently, she popped up again in “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” keeping the family’s spooky-cute legacy alive.

While Helena and Tim split in 2014, the two have always seemed to prioritize being there for their children. Helena even told E! News way back in 2010 that “it’s much harder being a mom than an actress.” But if this “Cabaret” night is anything to go by, she’s clearly nailing it.
