Inside George Clooney’s Luxe Mandarin Oriental Stay During Broadway Run

George Clooney Lived in Style at the Mandarin Oriental While Performing on Broadway

George Clooney brought more than just star power to New York City during his Broadway debut—he brought luxury living. According to Page Six, the Oscar-winning actor spent the duration of his run in “Good Night, and Good Luck” at the high-end Mandarin Oriental Residences on Fifth Avenue.

Clooney and his wife, Amal, reportedly stayed in a fully furnished two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment inside the ultra-luxury building, which is located just blocks from the more widely known Mandarin Oriental hotel at Columbus Circle. While the exact cost of his unit wasn’t disclosed, similar apartments in the building rent for around $30,000 per month and can sell for nearly $6 million.

According to Page Six sources, Clooney was seen dining at Boulud Privé, the building’s exclusive, residents-only restaurant led by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. The building is known for its posh amenities and discreet services tailored for celebrities and high-profile residents.

Luxury Amenities

The Mandarin Oriental Residences offers short-term guests and residents a lifestyle few can match. Amenities Clooney had access to during his stay include: a rooftop pool with cabanas, a spa, a Technogym-equipped fitness center, a salon, and even a yoga studio.

Residents can also enjoy luxury in-house services like private wine pairings from an on-call sommelier and skincare treatments by celebrity facialist Ivan Pol, known for his work with The Beauty Sandwich. There are private treatment rooms for facials and a 24/7 concierge team to meet just about any request.

While staying in New York, Clooney was often seen entering and exiting the building’s secure lobby. The actor had temporarily relocated his family to the city for his role in the Broadway adaptation of his 2005 film, “Good Night, and Good Luck.” The production ran from March through June 8, and Clooney earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Lead Actor in a Play for his portrayal of broadcast journalist Edward R. Murrow.

He opened up about the family’s time in New York during a February appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.” Speaking about the move, Clooney said, “How do you not love this? It’s New York City. They love being here.”

The Clooneys, who currently own multiple residences worldwide—including properties in Lake Como and a villa in the French countryside—added a touch of Hollywood to Midtown during their brief but lavish stay.
