Former Broadway star Jane Morgan has passed away at the age of 101, her family revealed in a statement to Deadline. She was in hospice care in Naples and died of natural causes in her sleep on Monday night.
“Our beloved Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep,” her family said.
Morgan was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011, celebrating her career as a talented singer and Broadway star.
“Beautiful, talented and devoted — these are just some of the adjectives used to describe Jane Morgan,” her Hollywood Walk of Fame bio reads.
She began as a singer in French nightclubs, but she returned to the United States and released her first album, “The American Girl From Paris,” in 1956. A year later, she released her hit song, “Fascination,” which earned a No. 7 spot on the Billboard pop chart and was featured in Audrey Hepburn’s movie “Love in the Afternoon.”
As for her Broadway career, Morgan appeared in shows such as “Mame,” “Ziegfeld Follie,” The Jack Benny Show,” “Can Can, Kiss Me Kate,” “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes,” “The King and I,” and others.
Across her career, she performed in front of President Charles de Gaulle of France and .S. presidents John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and George H.W. Bush. Morgan officially retired in 1973, but continued to release albums afterwards.
She is survived by her step-son Michael Weintraub and adopted daughters Jamie Weintraub and Jody Weintraub, along with six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Morgan was pre-deceased by her adopted daughter, Julie, and her husband Jerry Weintraub.

Jane Morgan’s Walk of Fame Star Ceremony
Here is Jane Morgan’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star speech:
“Like Jerry said, it has been a long time coming. But now it’s here and I’m very, very gratified. And I want to thank the Chamber of Commerce of Hollywood… I thought that instead of making a lengthy speech, perhaps I should try to do what I do best.”
Morgan then went on to sing her hit song, “Fascination.”
