Bravo Spin-Off Star Bows Out of New Season

Will Kulp is officially stepping away from Bravo’s “Southern Hospitality” ahead of its upcoming fourth season.

The 31-year-old Charleston native shared a candid Instagram Story on July 18, announcing that he will not be part of the show’s new season, which has already started filming.

‘A Life Lesson’

“The new season has started filming and unsurprisingly I will not be a part of it this year,” Kulp wrote. “I will likely never film a second of reality TV ever again. It has been a horrible experience and a life lesson.”

Kulp, who joined the Bravo spin-off during its debut season in 2022, previously skipped the Season 3 reunion and had expressed doubts about continuing with the series. In his post, he thanked select members of the cast and crew for their professionalism and kindness, singling out Bravo executive Andy Cohen.

“A big thanks to some cast, some production, Andy Cohen, and ALL of the crew for the seasons past. You know who you are. Your kindness and professionalism are rare occurrences in the industry,” he wrote.

Fiancée Emmy Sharrett to Return

While Kulp is exiting the spotlight, his fiancée and fellow cast member Emmy Sharrett appears to be staying on for Season 4. Kulp concluded his message with a note of support: “I am happy to be moving on and I will be cheering Emmy on from the sidelines with the rest of you.”

He also took a subtle swipe at the show’s past content, writing, “Best of luck to this new season. I hope it can be entertaining without a defamatory storyline or the unwanted use of my name, image, and likeness.”

Fans of the series watched Kulp and Sharrett navigate romance and rumors throughout Seasons 1 and 2. Their relationship — which began before the show aired — was marked by high drama, including cheating speculation and future planning tensions as Kulp pursued law school.

More to Come

“Southern Hospitality” premiered in 2022 as a spin-off of “Southern Charm,” centering on Leva Bonaparte and her staff at Republic Garden & Lounge in Charleston, South Carolina. Kulp, a Charleston native and former model, returned home after a stint in New York to work at Republic before deciding to follow in his parents’ footsteps by applying to law school.

Kulp hasn’t ruled out speaking more publicly about his decision. “When it is appropriate, I will talk more about experiences with production and the network which led to this decision,” he wrote.

As of now, production on “Southern Hospitality” Season 4 is underway. Emmy Sharrett is expected to appear, but without Kulp, fans will have to watch how the show navigates his absence — and his parting words.
