‘Vanderpump Rules’ Cast Members Share Nostalgic Goodbye Posts Amid Reboot Announcement

Vanderpump Rules”  stars reacted to news that the show is getting a complete reboot. On November 26, TMZ confirmed that the Bravo reality show will be completely recast for season 12.

The series will go back to its roots with a young cast employed at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR Lounge in West Hollywood. A Bravo press release teased the new cast for Season 12 will be a group of “close-knit SUR-vers who are as complicatedly involved with one another as their iconic predecessors.”

“Under Lisa Vanderpump’s watchful eye, the West Hollywood mainstay SUR — and now TomTom — welcomes the next batch of servers, hosts and bartenders rife with plenty of drama, situationships and frenemies,” the teaser continued.

Lala Kent Was the 1st to Post a Message

Just as TMZ broke the reboot news, cast member Lala Kent posted to Instagram to reflect on her time on “Vanderpump Rules” after first landing a hostess job at SUR. “I have such mixed feelings right now,” she wrote. “It’s no secret I do not like change. This is the exception. I want to say thank you for rocking with us for so many years. This show changed my whole life. I’m unbelievably grateful for every moment. I’m unbelievably grateful for Bravo, for NBCU, for our crew, the entire cast, and most importantly all of you. We rocked this [expletive]until the wheels fell off 💃.”

Several former co-stars responded to the post.

“Oh the memories we made! Love you LaLa,” ❤️❤️ wrote Brittany Cartwright.

“This post made me feel some feelings ❤️,” added original cast member Stassi Schroeder.

Ariana Madix & Katie Maloney Shared Memories

Ariana Madix also posted to Instagram to share a series of photos from her 10 years on the show.

‘Vanderpump rules, you will forever be that girl 💖,” she wrote, adding that nothing she could post could capture everything she was feeling. “I am forever grateful to have been a part of such an incredible cultural phenomenon,” she wrote, before thanking Vanderpump, the network, production company, crew members,and most especially the fans.

“I’m feeling at peace with closing this chapter and I’m excited for everything that is to come,” she wrote. “I don’t know that these were the best days of our lives, but they were definitely something special 💖.”

On her Instagram story, Katie Maloney shared a throwback of her wearing her SUR waitress uniform in season 1. “It’s a mixed bag. But I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for the memories and the love the last 11 years.”

Scheana Shay Said It’s the End of an Era

OG cast member Scheana Shay also shared an emotional post. She captioned a series of photos from her many years on the Emmy-nominated show with, “The end of an era…the start of something new ✨,” “I never could have imagined while shooting the pilot for VPR that it would become what it has, nor go on for as long as it did,” she added. She also expressed gratitude for all of the opportunities the show has given her. “Cheers to the next chapter! The rest is still unwritten…😉,” Shay wrote.

Her husband Brock Davies commented, “Congratulations to what is an iconic group of people… what you all have accomplished and the impact you all have are unbelievable… What a legendary effort.”

Tom Schwartz Shared a Video of Memories

Veteran cast member Tom Schwartz posted a video set to the “Friends” theme song. The clip featured iconic moments from ‘Vanderpump Rules,” including the cast’s annual Pride float, Jax Taylor’s famous parking lot fight, and James Kennedy’s “not about the pasta” moment.

“How the last 12 years plays in my mind,” Schwartz captioned the video.

James Kennedy Held Back Tears

James Kennedy also got emotional as he posted. The celebrity DJ said it was a “pleasure” to share his life on “Vanderpump Rules.” He also shared that he is living his dreams as a DJ thanks to the show. “Although this is a bittersweet ending, for me it is just the beginning!” he wrote.

Lisa Vanderpump Said Goodbye…For Now

Lisa Vanderpump also shared her thoughts as she said goodbye to the original cast. “The last 12 years of filming have been an extraordinary run full of laughter, tears and everything in between,” Vanderpump said in a press release. “ I can’t thank enough those who have shared their lives. How I love you all. In the restaurant business, one shift always gives way to another. Cheers to the next generation of ‘Vanderpump Rules.'”

On November 26, Vanderpump posted a photo of the season 11 cast and thanked them for the “wild ride” and for sharing their stories over the past 11 years. “How I’ve loved each and every one of you,” she wrote.
